You must launch the game to download all 112GB of data and install. Steam only installs the installer.
The content manage renders the full resolution of the game while downloading and installing meaning you must waste energy to even download. Even ESO lets you download and install updates outside of the actual game meaning you only have to use network resources instead of GPU/CPU for several hours.

Honestly wasn't fun to try and navigate the world. The third person restricted/fixed camera makes it hard to navigate the 3D environment and also difficult to judge depth which limits how well your character can interact with the environment. When the camera flips you also have to adjust how your character walks because they are no longer walking left to right on the screen but right to left.

The game has you on rails from the first moment and you can't leave the tracks. You are only allowed to see what the devs want you to see and your camera, aiming is limited to that.

I wanted to enjoy the game because the story/premise sounds great, and visually/audibly this game is great.

I played the free 2 week trial about 2 years ago. Then I bought the steam version without knowing any better. Kakao and Pearl Abyss REFUSE to implement a system of account where you can login via their client or via steam. Elder Scrolls Online can implement this easily. Not only will I lose my progress, I will also have to use an entirely new email. Hey Kakao, do you want better user retention? Fix this. It stopped me two years ago and It continues to stop me now....

I got this game just before the Solstice Update and I gotta say I loved this game. Do NOT UNDERESTIMATE the STORY or Niko. This game will take your heart for a trip.
