I am a big fan of the SaGa series, and SaGa Frontier 2 has always been my favorite. This remaster is more than what I hoped for. I want to say my expectation were low, but with how great the remaster of SaGa Frontier 1 was (added cut content, new character, new story elements etc..), I was excited to see what this remaster would offer.

Overall, its the same game but with some QoL, a hefty NG+ and some new systems. There are some new playable characters like Flynn, new locked items per characters that makes them more distinguishable, a new system called "parameter inheritance" (which allow you to link 2 characters together, having their stats added together) making the game considerably easier in some aspects, a message log to reread dialogue, an easier way to access storage and equipped characters and a new way to display scenarios by year they happened so you wont miss any "secret" or "missable" scenarios if you were to play them out of order.

They also fully implemented the Dig Dig Digger mini-game, which many of us had no idea what it was back then since you needed a Pocketstation in a memory card slot. These were never released in Europe and North America. So you are finally able to collect various diggers and send them on digs for a certain amount of time while you continue to play the game. These diggers will eventually come back with various items from the game (which some are actually very very good) to be used at your leisure or simply scrap them for more chips. These excavation also have an inventory of their own so you can keep these items stored outside of your normal inventory which is super useful too.

Keep in mind that if you dont like, or want to play with the new additions the remaster offers, you are able to play the game in a mode that strips everything and let you play the game just you would on the PS1.

The backgrounds have been remastered as well, some may look a little blurry but at no time did it bothered me. I think the game looked very nice.

There is a pretty big NG+ which I wont go into too much. But, you have the options of NG+ that was already present in the base game but also have new super boss and the ability to choose any existing party members, equip any items you have (even locked items) to mix and match the party of your choosing for this added content.

I consider this a very good remaster, and for such a niche game to receive this treatment, I cant be more happy.

Game looks very nice. The campaign is only about 10h but multiplayer will add a lot of game time. But there is some severe problems with that part. Hacking is rampant in PvP and ive seen some in PvE, and for some reason there is no report button, and devs dont seem to take it seriously. Which is unfortunate because its hurting the game greatly.

There is also some balancing issue with the game. Some mechanic require some locked animation to happen like gunstrikes. The problem is that you cant move while it happens, takes a few seconds and you dont have any invisibility frames during that time. You will die often because of this. There is also ranged enemies, that will spam shoot without end through other enemies and walls. Your armor is very weak and you dont have a lot of health. In the right circumstances, you can execute a gunstrike (being locked in animation) and have a bunch a small range enemies shoot at you and its game over. Gunstrike will also happen by mistake sometime. You are punished for using game mechanics and I dont know if that will be patched yet, as the only thing the devs released was a fix to spread core usage (game was only using like 5 cores and would BSOD your PC from the main menu for some).

I do think there is a solid game here, but its apparent that the devs didnt test most of it before releasing, creating all these small problems that adds up to a bad experience sometimes. I will change my review if they ever decide to speak up and fix these issue.

The story is very good and very heartfelt. Things can feel a little rushed sometimes, and there are minor plot holes but overall its very good. There is no "game" though as this is more of a visual novel most of the time, and the "game" is mostly go left, go right and mini games which are the weakest part of the game. The ost is great and stick in your head.

Its a neat little metroidvania/arpg type game. A good way to prepare yourself for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. The game isnt complicated and I would even say its easy. LOTS of side quest to a point where its kind of a joke but theres a lot of stuff to unlock in stores. Basically you need to rebuild a village, so youll need to help the villagers and upgrade the towns stores.

The story is aright and the gameplay is fine although I felt like the game overstay its welcome a little bit. It does drag on especially if you want to 100%. I bought it on sale for 5$ and I dont regret my decision, I had a fun time.

Some feature from you save file will transfer to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes when it releases. Stuff like how you name your weapons, food and maybe more (no onw knows for sure at the time of writing this review)

Game is really fun, its one of those "oh have 4 hours past already?" type game. Combat feels good, the environments look nice. There is multiple vocations (classes) to choose from which you can change anytime you go to a city or inn. The pawn system is very interesting and youll find yourself in funny situation sometimes. Being able to use your friend pawns really add to the party customization.

There is some microtransactions in the steam store page, but all of those items can be acquired easily in game, all those mtx can be disregarded. You will never feel the need to buy anything. There seem to be a hate culture around the game from ppl who never played and decided to review bomb for no good reason, dont pay attention to those.

This is the starship trooper game you always wanted. Maps are geat and the music really does a good job to hype you to deliver democracy onto your foes. The devs are also super passionate about their game

At the beginning ive seen this game for what it was, an ok space rpg. It had a lot of flaws but I was optimistic they would give some updates, fix the problems and so forth. Well after a long time of underwhelming update, came an update where they included mods officially, and added quests. Good right? The quest are paid mods, being a slap in the face to anyone who stuck with the game. Instead of fixing the game, they want us to pay for the game to be fixed. Plz dont support these scummy practices as they will set a precedent in the future. I cant recommend this game unless it is heavily on sale or at all

Doesn't do much, but what it does, it does it perfectly. I use it for plenty of games that doesnt have borderless. Old games, new games whatever.

Awesome point and click game. I got into the story as soon as I started. The music is also very fitting to the scenes and I thought the main voice actress was brilliant. My only grudge, if I ever had one, is that the puzzles are really too easy although, that might be a plus for some people. I prefer easy puzzles over convoluted moon logic puzzles anyway.

This is a must buy to any fan of point and click adventure games

Early Access Review
Its a very short self contained mmorpg. Combat is interesting, like a souls like where you need to roll to not get hit. Doing the main story quest (which are the only quests in the game atm) will take you around 6-7hours. Other than that you can keep lvling although the grinding becomes very steep from lvl30+. But thats pretty much the end game, grind xp, hope for good drops. Like I said, its a very short self contained game but its aright. It will scratch your mmo itch for a while. Its also free so try it out
