One of the greatest games i have ever played, takes the entirety of war simulation games and simply says "you're all a bunch of posers, this is how its really done".

During the game you take control of a selected band of survivors each ranging in their skills from their capability to withstand emotional trauma to their skill at crafting and carrying and even down to their basic combat prowess and overall involvement with wartime activities, you as the player need to guide and manage this small group by collecting resources such as food and water as well as scrap materials and electronic components to try and improve your shelter, you can only scavenge for so long as the game readily reminds you so you will need to start producing some of your own things if you want any hope of survival.

Each of the differeing playthroughs has entirely new aspects and storylines to reveal to the player, on one playthrough the hospital has been seriously bombed but is still barely running thanks to the kind doctor there and in another it could be the hideout for a ruthless band of heavily armed thugs, not only that but you have to deal with the changing weather as winter is just around the corner and sitting in a ruin freezing to death is currently not on your survivors wishlists for their future's.

Even taking all of that out of the picture each and every character has their own rich personality and backstory told gradually as the game progresses but not in its entirety, the game simply shows you quotes from the character like you were talking directly too them and their responses to varying events that have occured shows you their characters, the selfish ones who only want to help themselves to those believing that generosity and kindness are the only things that humanity needs, this game will play with your emotions from start to finish and is a must buy for anyone that is a fan of wartime simulator games.

10/10 would play again... and again... and again.
