Random, unfair brutality

I would 100% have sent an innocent to prison if the game let me. Only encountered one bug throughout the 6.5hr playthrough- on a laptop when battery gets low the game will freeze (I guess because of the pop up telling you battery is low). Checkpoints are very regular tho so not really an issue.

A good game but unfortunately the developers are going the way of EA. Recent update removed the mod manager and chat in multiplayer games (with little explanation from the Devs.

Rather than finishing and fixing the game they added microtransactions. Sound is poor and the game is not engaging

Can be frustrating at times due to skill issue, but very satisfying when you finally work things out! Can feel more like a puzzle game than a strategy game at times, but sound effects and graphics are nice with only 1 or 2 minor bugs encountered in 165 hrs of gameplay.

Still great fun to play (remember to turn on vsync to solve glitches)

Such a great game! Many features such as nvg, leaning, 3 stances, decent loadouts and ads that you don't really expect from a game of this age. Very much enjoyed (altho ai can be kinda dumb)

I was really excited for this Remaster,

The price reduction for previous owners of RTW1, even if your key was just on a disk and not even for steam made me think this perhaps this may have been a labour of love, and the live action trailers had me hyped.

New graphics are nostalgic, but without being outright bad. For me the game runs well and is very stable (Not a single crash in 30 hours).

New additions to the game are great, but you can even turn them off if you're not a fan!

Although I've mostly enjoyed the game, until the pathfinding in settlements is fixed I will not be able to leave a positive review. Units will frequently turn around and take paths that are clearly wrong once inside a settlement, however even getting there is a challenge as most units seem to really struggle with getting through wall breaches. In a game where settlements are so important, being inable to properly fight for them just isn't acceptable and renders the game far less enjoyable than it ought to be.
Edit: If the pathfinding were to be updated the game would be great and of course I'd change the review.

Great fun and very therapeutic, well worth a look!

You can really tell a lot of passion went into the game. Artwork, soundtrack and general aesthetics are all spot on. Very enjoyable
