Early Access Review
Lots of Potential. Recommend to approach the game with an open mind.

Liked Features
- Realms behave like jumping to other Galaxies in No Man Sky.
- Realm buffs, debuffs, look and feel can be influenced with cards.
- Character customisation is in-depth although I am not fully satisfied with the artistic choice.
- Building elements and decor
- Crafting

Modding support and Offline play are key elements that I think will make this more successful. Thankfully Devs acknowledge the need for Offline Mode.

Space, Exploration, Years of Modding Potential and Replay, Roleplay, Singleplayer.

There are some issues as you will read elsewhere to make up your mind, but I personally like it and think it will expand once modding tools are released. My main issue was crashes but patches has now stopped my crashing with AMD hardware and I can play very long hours without any issues.

Tried it. Don't like it. I am not going to write a detailed review. There are already many in depth review and videos out there.

Was enjoying a [Redacted] Research mission and got hit by requiring Rank 10 with a faction to advance it. Was sad for a while but remembered the great epic feeling of slowly building things up in X3. My Goal is to build my HQ and stations with High Tech Research and am sure it will take months or even a year, an Empire dedicated to science and diplomacy.

If you are new to X games, things do take long and there is so much to do in the Sandbox. You will certainly need to THINK, be it in Trade, Combat, Missions or Exploration. X-games does not really hold your hands give you a path to follow. So be patient and try things out.

Overall Positives (After 8 Hrs);
Graphics is well done,
Seamless Transition between ship, stations and space.
Hardly any loading (using SSD)
Interface is intuitive and is a better version from X3TC/AP
Ship Models and flight system is good

Negatives
Not much here
Some UI bugs (Mapping "Map" to a key also map the same key to "Cycle Next Secondary Weapon" preventing the map from opening when you press the key.)
Some Tutorials not working as intended.
Pilot can ragdoll when returning to the captain chair in a ship you just flown.

Will update as I play more of it.

Apart from the bugs, I am really enjoying it and these are some of the reasons why;

1. When compared to Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, I prefere the King gameplay rather than the Pirate theme of Deadfire.
2. Neverwinters Nights 1 and 2 introduced me to DnD years past and as I do not play table top, I never really got into Pathfinder. So I really like the ruleset and is familiar in building characters.

Some Gameplay to improve
1. Rest and Travel Fatigue mechanic.
2. Speed settings to help exploration
3. Fast Travelling or ability to to go directly to the travel map from the throne room.
4. Retreat from Combat if not surrounded by enemies

Will update Review following futher updates.
