Good fun

How a remaster should be done. Now do the rest.

I got this because after looking at reviews and screenshots, I got a very Ogre Battle 64 vibe. If you have played that game, this one will feel very familiar. I have enjoyed my time so far. As most people repeat, the story is vanilla, it is the gameplay that sells it. If I had a complaint or criticism it would be that you can get tier 3 units quite early on. There isn't a ton of variety in classes. That being said, it is still very fun and I do recommend.

Comparisons to Vampire Survivors are fair. It is a fun game, but the one thing it needs is visual clarity. While Vampire Survivors looks like a flash game, at no point do I ever feel like I can't pick out my character from the enemies and effects. This game suffers somewhat late game, especially with a lot of summons or explosions. The visual style is cool, but it lends itself to a lot of samey effects. I've beaten it a couple of times, and enjoyed my few hours with it, but I will revisit after another patch or two to see if they've made any changes.

Absurd replayability. Mega buggy, but if it is like Kingmaker, it will be in a mostly playable state soon and you too can put hundreds of hours into developing, but not playing, alts.

Great game, but my 600+ hours of gameplay are about 50% waiting for the game to load.

Fun. Different enough from Xcom 2 for Veterans.

I know it isnt' the most popular Fallout game, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Fun times.

I finished it in 2 hours. I got it as part of the Humble Bundle, so as for value, it was excellent. I don't know if I would pay 25 dollars. I have yet to look at the end game content, but the concept is cool so I'm sure I will. Soft recommend if you can get it for sale.
