Since I wrote a terrible review for this game back when it started up, it's only fair that I now edit my review to reflect its current situation. After numerous patches, this is finally the game NMS should have been before. I can finally recommend it, after enjoying it for some time myself.

However, I still maintain it isn't worth its full price, and bought it only because the Christmas sale dropped it to $20+.

Nevertheless, if you love endless wanderings and exploration with a little excitement and discovery from time to time, then this is the game for you. But if you seek novelty and find the constant harvesting of minerals etc tiresome, then you'd need to look elsewhere.
