I have 57 hours in the EGS version of the game, and I have really fallen in love with Witchfire.

As I improve at the game, and unlock more of what it has to offer, the game keeps getting better. It's drawing me in.

It's really exciting that it's finally come to Steam, as it will be introduced to a whole new audience. And the current state of the game is a great point to get started.

Happy Hunting!

It feels like a Turn Based, Rogue-like Elder Scrolls game.

I can't wait to spend more time with this!

This is one of those games that is so brilliant, I wish I had come up with it.
I can't recommend this game enough.

I've played every Torchlight game, and yet "Torchlight: Infinite" BAFFLES me.

The story doesn't seem related to the other Torchlight games in almost any way, and the style has changed to a distinctly more 'anime' aesthetic. The npc following me around calls me 'partner' even though I have no idea who she is, and we picked up a dwarf who calls me 'Torchlight' for some reason. This is like if in Diablo 4 all of the NPCs call you "Tristram." XD

There are several Passive Buff Trees all hidden away in separate menus... because?

This feels like a mobile game that intentionally scatters too many systems all over the place to keep the player bewildered and clicking through other screens so they see as many opportunities to buy shortcuts, currency, or cosmetics as possible.

I had heard that there was a new class, unlocked by buying the Season Pass, and it took me ages to even find the screen where that is possible.

I don't understand how or why this is a Torchlight game, but it's fun-ish and free to play so I guess I'll give it a thumbs up for the time being.

UPDATE: After 10 hours I'm completely bored of deleting all enemies just by walking around. I guess it's nice I didn't have to buy anything to become powerful, but I could literally play this game in my sleep.

It's a shame this isn't a game more like Torchlight 2, as this series is likely done at this point.

P. S. - I read an article that David Brevik (of Diablo fame) helped consult on this game, and I can't for the life of me figure out where he might have had input. None of this looks like anything I've ever seen from Brevik.

I don't normally play Strategy games, but Songs of Conquest has just enough RPG to draw me in; and then the gameplay is so fun that I get hooked. I'm generally pretty bad at strategy games, but after a few attempts I was able to win a Skirmish against the AI.

This has been well worth the price of admission, and I'm looking forward to the full release.

Also, this game has some of the best pixel art I've ever seen. It's incredible.

15 Hours: it really makes you feel like you're being shot

UPDATE:
35 Hours: no it makes you feel like you're being shot, then burned.

UPDATE:
75 Hours: no it makes you feel like you're being shot, burned, and there is barbed wire everywhere.

UPDATE:
100 Hours: If you haven't figured it out by now, let me tell you: This game only gets better with time. I'm still having so much fun having adventures with my friends in a big mud puddle.

UPDATE:
175 Hours: It's like being shot, stabbed, and then someone steals all your snakes before burning you.

UPDATE:
450 Hours: It's like being shot, stabbed, and burned, but that doesn't stop me from coming back to life.

This is a great game, with a lot of available content if you grab the DLC.

I definitely recommend it, but especially if you manage to convince some friends to play along with you.

This is a fantastic ARPG.

The moment to moment gameplay is satisfying, and I end up playing longer than I intended.
