Just feels like a straight downgrade from games from 20 years ago but I have a problem putting my finger on why exactly. Maybe it's the graphics that feel too blocky. Maybe it's the overabundance of crappy hero equipment that devalues the joy of getting a stat improvement. Maybe it's needing to invest level upgrades into just having more troops. Maybe it's the arbitrary caps on how many troops can be in a stack. Maybe it's the magic system with "mana" that is too bifurcated, obtuse and weak feeling.

Either way I loved playing games like this for hundreds of hours, but this one I'm putting down with less than 10, something is wrong here, or many somethings.

I have completed 3 campaigns on the last difficulty, and I strongly believe that magic needs to be remade/fixed. There are some useless, and some totally OP spells - and it doesnt usually depend on their cost. A good starting point can be to introduce the "Dispel" spell or anything like it to deal with crowd control.
As updates are coming regularly, we might expect some improvements one day, but for now I cannot recommend this game

best multiplayer game since Heroes of Might & Magic III nuff said
