Runs good for me at ultra 1440p with no upscaling.

The combat is a bit mediocre but serviceable. But the main reason to play this game is the story and dialogue. The writing is very good and the satire is incredible. The graphics aren't the best, but the art style, lighting, and color palette are quite pleasing.

I played this game when it originally came out and had a good time, and now replaying it again but with better visuals was a joy.

While this game doesn't have all the features that Starfield has, it still has a better story and that makes it more worth playing IMO.

I tried the demo for Vertigo 2 and figured I would buy both games since I enjoyed the demo so much. I ended up playing through Vertigo 1 first and I had a great time. Easily one of the best VR games I have played. Aside from the first boss and one other part of the game, I don't have anything negative to say. The game was funny, had a good story, and had good weapon progression.

It felt a little short but at the same time, it did not overstay its welcome. It was a very good length and left me wanting more. The SMG/ Sniper was very well done and felt so good in VR.

Overall this kind of felt like Half Life 1. It had the inside a facility vibe going on. It had some decent humor with a some serious undertones. It had highly experimental story driven game play. And it had solid shooting with some very light puzzles. This game feels like it knows its source material and runs with it.

Overall a 9/10 even in 2023.

If you're a star trek fan, this game is amazing! The command bridge's are so detailed and the missions so fun. You can live out your star trek fantasies.

If you don't care much about star trek, but you do enjoy coop games or you have a VR headset, this game is still for you. Whether you're playing on a flat screen or the obviuously superior VR headset, there is a lot of amusment to be had with this game. Nothing beats getting together with a group of 3 friends and working together to survive or die the trials of space combat. Sometimes it devolves into a shouting match of "press the F****** button" but its all fun and you will have a laugh.

If you don't have friends to play with, that's ok too. I haven't had too many interactions with strangers, but those that I did have were enjoyable. The community seemed nice enough.

The game is not super complex, and I wish there was a little more depth. Perhaps even a DLC to explore planet surface. I also wish there was mod support.

All in all though 8.5/10.

Great FPS, solid shooting mechanics, ok story line, plenty of weapons to choose from. My one and only gripe is that the campaign seemed rather short and underwhelming. Wolfenstein: A New Order felt longer and had a better story line. I also wish this game spent a little more time building atmosphere of Nazi occuied America, but it was sufficient. I also would have loved to have seen some levels where you fight along side American resistance fighters.

All in all, a great game, 8/10

Horribly optimized, ran poorly on a machine that is more than capable of running the game.

Also poorly balanced, I am a free to play player, so I do not have access to useful weapons. A Tiger tank showed up and I was not allowed to crew an AT gun, drive a tank, or even use a bazooka. A lot of brave virtual riflemen needlessly died in that fight.

This is an interesting game that feels like Company of Heroes was crossed with Squad. Its got nice shooting mechanics, and various roles to fufill to keep the game fresh.

What lets this game down however, is an overly time consuming and complicated logistics system. Gathering material then taking it to the appropriate factory to then choose what to craft and then bring it to the front is not fun for most people. I would love to see a simplifed version where you drive a truck to a supply depot, choose the supplies you want to bring, then drive them directly to the front. Or perhaps brining a truck to a scrap yard, picking up scrap, then driving to a factory to choose what to make.

This game also feels like an early access game, the VOIP is a bit dodgy at times. Its also difficult to stay with a squad because your squad doesn't have different colors over their characters heads. And the inventory is kind of rough.

All in all, lots of potential and good infantry combat. At least if you hate playing logistics, you can mostly ignore it.

If you don't want to deal with logistics at all and would rather have instant action, get Running with Rifles instead.

Ok game, not as good as Grand Theft Auto Vice City or San Andreas for singleplayer, but still comptent. However, with mod support removed, you should not buy this game. Mods have always been spectuactular and increased the value of GTA 10 fold because you can do ridiculous things, or enhance the games in various ways. Without mods, GTA is not worth buying.

TL:DR - Great game, but be weary of DLC, not all DLC is worth buying. Buy the base game and carefully choose the DLC or wait for a sale.

This is easily one of the best grand strategy games I have ever played. As a long time Civilization fan, this game feels like a step up from Civilization. Its kind of like if the Total War series was on a much larger scale. I enjoy the historicalness of the game, with things like the HRE, Ottoman Empire, new world colonization etc. The game has a lot of depth, which is fantastic. It also recieves regular updates and DLC, which is nice, in that the developer has not abandoned this game. It also has mod support, which is cool.

I think purchasing the base game is worth while, especially if it is on sale. The base game frequently goes for 50-75% off, which is an excellent price point.

However, my chief complaint is the DLC. Its nice that the developers keep making DLC, but some of the DLC is subpar. Not only that, but the price of the DLC is extortionate. $20 for a DLC? Really Paradox? If the base game costs $40 normally and the DLC that does not have nearly as much content as the base game costs $20, why would I pay so much for DLC? If you factor in all the expansions, Europa is a very expensive game to play. Even when you wait for steam sales on the DLC where the DLC is 50-75% off, it still can get quite expensive. They need to charge less for the DLC. DLC should not exceed $10, given the amount of content added.

Another thing that is quite annoying is that when DLC is released, a free update that adds a few features is released too. While this is awesome that it keeps the game fresh and is free, it also changes some game mechanics signifigantly, which means relearning the game for a few days. Some of the changes are actually worse too. And there doesn't seem to be an option to just disable features that you don't like. I know its possible to disable updates, but sometimes its cool to have new features added, but those new features usually come at the cost of some awful change to gameplay.

Overall, I recommend picking up the base game, and perhaps even a few of the DLCs, but do not blindly buy all of the DLCs. I am thumbing the game down though until Paradox changes its greedy ways.

Verdun is a far cry from COD and Battlefield, its a unique game with a healthy dose of realism. Verdun is set in trenches of World War 1, which is a very refreshing and new setting. Verdun also tries to accurately depeict the war by showing the player the futility of trench warfare. Additonally, Verdun has decent squad and teamwork mechanics.

Overall, a 10/10 for me. It feels like Red Orchestra 2 set in World War One, its perfect.

If you want an in depth, large scale, realistic RTS set in the Cold War, look no further! This game has jets, infantry, tanks, artillery and helicopters. It has a logistics system which includes limited ammo and limited fuel. Every unit in the game has its own stats, and its own advantages and disadvantages. You are able to select the units you bring into battle through an easy to use army building screen, which allows you to compare stats of units. All in all, a solid game, and easily one of the best RTS game to be released in recent times. The developers have also offered continued support for the game through rebalancing, and free DLCs.
