It doesn't have everything under the sun, but it's one of the closest things to the tabletop you'll find on steam. You make your army, you field it- kill, capture, attack, defend... Do the thing.

This game is delightful, and absolutely oozes charm. Can't recommend it enough.

A Doom clone with a Warhammer 40k skin? Yes please.

Some people complain about the pixel graphics- might as well complain that milk is white. It's exactly what it seems to be on it's face, and it's wonderful.

Early Access Review
Bite sized, pixelated Tarkov/S.T.A.L.K.E.R. hybrid. S'good stuff.

DD2 is very different from the original, and I'll admit- I don't love all the changes. The UI isn't great, some of the choices with how to approach the roguelite gameplay don't feel incredibly natural, and the loop itself can feel a bit simple when you consider how DD1 functioned.

That said; I really enjoy it. Instead of managing many heroes and the town they return to; you focus on running a small squad through the gamut of the dungeon. Some runs are more fortunate than others and RNG definitely plays a part in that equation, but I really do like the concept of 'making the best of a bad situation'. I've had artifacts that drastically change how I play certain heroes, diseases that actually catered to a playstyle and dead heroes replaced with new ones that completely revamp the synergy of the squad.

I've also had immediate deathblows, mental breakdowns rippling through the group and items that are about as useful to me as socks are on on the moon... but each run has it's flavor- the little story of progress that you try to unwind, simply reacting and doing what you can with what you've got until you're either victorious or slaughtered. S'good stuff.

An enjoyable little game in line with 'Papers, Please' where you fulfill your duties as a customizable grim reaper in a delightful corporate environment. The dialogues and concepts are fun and interesting, and I was genuinely surprised at the number of dialogues tailored to my reaper's visage having a cigarette.

Mortimer is my good pal and I'd sail with him any day.

It's L4D in 40k. Who doesn't want that?

Symphony of War feels like a mash up between Ogre Battle and Fire Emblem, and it combines those elements really well while still forging a unique concept. Definitely a good buy if either of those titles are in your wheelhouse.

I really enjoyed this installment of the Tales franchise. My favorite will probably always be Symphonia because of rose tinted nostalgia glasses, but Arise gave me exactly what I wanted from a Tales game- a game that plays like anime is watched:

"Let's talk about what justice means for a couple episodes and then kick the ♥♥♥♥ out of somebody for 3 minutes. Then we can pick up where we left off on justice and revisit that topic just so we're all clear" It's simultaneously convoluted while also being plain as day, and I enjoy that game feel.
