This is easily my pick for GOTY 2022. I have the soundtrack on repeat 24/7. I'm looking forward to seeing the Any% speedruns.

All that said, this is a wonderful labour of love. You could do much worse than to spend an hour of your time with a wholesome and lovingly crafted platformer. Do yourself a favour and allow yourself to be charmed by a genuine and sincere developer. I'll bet you a nickel you come away wistful and smiling.

Surprisingly fun take on tower defense. I even replayed several missions a second and third time, and only afterwards realized that you sort of have to because the progression is just a bit too slow.

Basically, this game gets a lot of things right and even more things *almost* right. Let me clarify: the sense of progression is real, but just slightly too slow. Creating missions and performing missions with other players is an excellent idea to make the world feel alive, but starting or creating a mission takes two clicks too many of the map system and that gets a bit tedious. The map UI is colorful and pretty, but could offer slightly more functionality.

All in all this is a very pleasant game. Not great, but certainly good enough to warrant the purchase price. It really invites you back day after day to play a couple of runs and it doesn't even rely on daily quests to do so!
