BDO does has its pay to win aspects, however you can enjoy the game without actually paying extra for cosmetic buffs, if you're just planning to PVE. But if you're looking to PVP that's when you're going to need those small extra buffs from cosmetics and etc. Overall though, BDO is a fantastic game with great combat, great graphics and overall a great community.
