Incredible visuals and music, emotional story, tight gameplay, better in every way from the already great first game.
You want to play this masterpiece.

One of the most chill and easy going games you can come across, wish we could somehow increase the difficulty!

Early Access Review
This game is complete garbage, can't even change resolution (after setting it to 1440p, and restarting the game, it defaults back to 1080p) and locks my 144hz monitor at 60hz and 60fps, How can a developer mess such basic functionality features this bad in 2022? Avoid at all costs!

Nice improvements on the handling model over last year's game, performance is pretty good too.

Improved the handling model from F1 2019, MyTeam is the best solo mode so far in the series, the AI races you a lot harder and defends better, overall i find it a better experience than 2019.
Online is still kind of a mess but i play myteam mode mostly so i dont mind it that much.

Oh dear, where should i start here? I hold off my review so they could release the patch unlocking the framerate and actually be able to play this since 30 fps is unplayable for me. After 11 hours in, this is what i got from it.

- Performance of the pc version is garbage, not much to be said here, not even a gtx 1080 is able to sustain steady 60fps on max settings.
- It looks like sh_i_t. Low res blurry textures, graphical glitches all over the place related to lighting and shadows, insane pop-in, ugly weather effects.
- The game is unstable. Many users are experiencing crashes at the moment. I was able to reduce their frequency by limiting the framerate to 60 from uncapped but it still does it at least 1 time per 2 hours of gameplay, usually at the worst moment. It can also crash during autosaving and corrupt your savefile so good luck with that (hasn't happend to me, yet). I know it's not something on my end because i have played dozens of games on my configuration without a hitch.
- Buggy as hell. npc's clipping through walls, cars floating in the air, sometimes missions won't start unless i reload the checkpoint. It feels unpolished and rushed.
- Repetitive missions. So far i've seen only a few types of missions, kill someone, interrogate someone, destroy something, take out the boss. There is some fun to be had here, but doing the same thing over and over and over again gets old real fast. A little more variation (like mafia 2) could do wonders.
- Npc AI is straight up ret.a.rded. I won't go into details because i'd like to keep this review from being too long. Just watch this nice dude's video and have some laughs too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZokdmzvDGA

I know i pretty much buried the game but there are some good aspects too. Interesting story presentation and characters, solid combat mechanics (nothing groundbreaking, but enough to keep you going), nice music and voice acting. Sadly, these are not enough for me to recommend Mafia 3. Even if they fix all the technical issues, which i highly doudt, it still going to be a shallow and repetitive experience.

This is a disastrous launch, stay the hell away from this game until they patch it properly, even though i wouldn't bet on it.

I'm running this on a oc'd 2600k@4.5Ghz and oc'd 970 @1080p with the latest drivers from nvidia. First of all, the framerate is capped at 30(!) fps. Great job devs, especially for a 2015 game. You can unlock it via the .ini file though, so let's ingnore this for now.

I am launching the game again ready to enjoy glorious 60 fps gameplay...
NOT! Even with all the gameworks crap turned off, i am getting dips to sub 30's while driving, gliding and various other situations making it pretty much unplayable at times. The graphics quality doesn't justify such terrible performance, i can't even imagine how the game runs on lower spec systems. Trying to tune the settings does little to no difference at all. Gpu usage in afterburner is unstable during gameplay from 40% to 80% which indicates the game is poorly coded and cant ulitilize gpus properly. Before you say my cpu is bottleneching my gpu, there are guys in the forums with latest oc'd intel cpus and TitanX facing the same issues.

Rocksteady already admitted here http://community.wbgames.com/t5/Support-for-PC/PC-Performance-issues-we-hear-you/m-p/571341#U571341 that they tossed the pc version of the game to an "external PC development partner" so you can understand how much they appreciate us.

Update 25/6:
Well, apparently WarnerBros halted sales of the game until it is fixed. You can thank steam's new refund policy for that because i highly doubt they would do such a move with the old, no-refund system. I want to be positive that we will get the pc version that we deserve but I still advice everyone who is eligible to get a refund and wait until the game's new release. If it works properly, you can just buy it again. If it's not, you can tell them to f*ck off and move on. Don't forget, WB is in full damage control mode right now so we don't really know what to expect from them. Or when.
