Minor bugs, and ocassional aimlessness, but a great imsim experience. Pleased to see that the remaster did not substantially water it down.

I would wait before purchasing this.
+ Unit pathfinding improved
- Performance has degraded significantly. In the past, only mods made the game tank, but now even vanilla DoW gameplay can see FPS stall significantly
- The remastered textures and models are a bit wonky
- Unexplored areas in the fog of war are pitch black—completely invisible
- Mod compatibility is poor. Army painter breaks, hotkeys don't function, and the UI is cludged up. Sometimes mods won't load and you just need to reboot the game until it works.
- Mod tools haven't been updated
- Many longstanding bugs or oversights are still present

Perhaps worst of all: you still can't pick the spawn location for player one on fixed spawns!

It's like a really good Roblox game that really wished was its own game. Simple, but great. Very polished in spite of the bugs it has occasionally.

While I haven't had any issues with FPS, the graphics are a significant downgrade compared to Dirt Rally 2 and previous WRC games. There is also occasional micro-stuttering; even with 120+ frames, the game stutters at times and feels like 40 fps. Unreal 5 blurriness aside, the tracks are nowhere near as detailed in previous games; track surface is almost always just a flat texture, compared to the comparatively handcrafted roads of previous games.

All that would be tolerable if it weren't for the handling. I've heard many people say this game improves handling, especially on tarmac, but I couldn't disagree more. All the cars are liable to snap oversteer-- even a moment of traction loss and you're facing 180 degrees backwards. I haven't seen anything like it in any other simcade rally game.

Some minor technical issues, but the game is very fun :)

Slightly janky and slightly arcane in its mechanics, but thoroughly fun
