what an awful video game

I've covered wars, you know.

Disappointing

Easier than Part 1, but it doubles down on the introduction of new and annoying meme enemies. The turret from part 1 is only present four times, which is good. The spirit is used much more conservatively than in part 1, which is also a pleasant change of pace, but the new enemies are all pretty annoying.

The story is trash now though, lol!

All in it, felt life half the content of the last dlc.

ARK is the spiritual successor to the likes of Garry's Mod Stranded and Stranded II. It is incredibly punishing, but mogging brontosauruses with t-rex kill teams and building flying bases is very funny and worth it. There are a few enemies that are obnoxious to encounter, the rust-like building system is kind of trash, and gathering resources can be a pain because of stringent weight limits, but overall it's a pretty good video game.

Important to note that some dlcs are literally pay to win. Boomerangs, oil drills, wells and such give massive advantages to players with their respective dlc/

I love this game but the multiplayer service is down even for co-op.

Anything that was a minor nuissance in the base game is a headache in this, especially on Nightmare. id doubles down on tentacles (now having them in combat as well!), slow-down environments and attacks, and red-light green-light enemy design and generally makes for a headache inducing experience.

The story is also pretty bad, even by Eternal's standards. 2016 was very good in this regard, and while Eternal was disheartening, this expac has killed my interest in the new Doom story and lore.
