Played since beta, but since Patch 1.4 and Patch 1.5 I've really enjoyed the end game content. Loot is distributed no matter what you're doing nothing is locked behind just PvP content.

Survival DLC introduce Battle Royal:ish mechanic, but what was a surprise that there's even is a PvE variant of it that is really fun. Everyone starts with practically nothing, but it utilizes the already existing cosmetic and consumable items into this Battle Royal mode with Cold, Hunger Thirst and disease, with really nice graphical representation how harsh the cold can be.
