♥♥♥♥'s ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up man

I haven't really played any survival horror games before this one but it's quickly become one of my favorite games of all time, your first playthrough does a fantastic job at making you feel like you're always running out of supplies while desperately looking for ways to progress, the limited saves make you want to conserve them and getting attacked by enemies after not saving for a while creates some of the tensest moments in any game I've ever played. Slowly figuring out where more and more items go and filling out more of your map and emptying your storage of more and more key items is incredibly satisfying. This game manages to make every little pickup you find feel useful (save for them giving you handgun ammo near the end of the game when you'd never want to use it).

And then after your first playthrough there's so much replayability to the point where I ended up playing the game 8 times in a week getting every last achievement along the way. Not only is there an entire other character with a pretty different campaign available, the game also gives you rewards for beating the game quickly in the form of really fun overpowered weapons as well as some extra cool looking costumes for beating the game as each character twice. The game also gives you a hard difficulty setting as well as some fun extra modes that sound like they wouldn't be fun on paper but actually playing them it really tests your knowledge and skill you've built up with the game after several playthroughs. The steam achievements also have some challenges for you that end up being fun as well

This game is one of the greatest I've ever played, just be willing to be intimidated at the very beginning

probably the closest we'll ever get to a new classic paper mario game
and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is it easy to get invested in the characters and story
basically if you like the first two paper mario games this is easily 100% worth it

I went through a factory with spinny electic outlets and killed a naked man so I could tear off his skin and give it to a cultist 10/10
