STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is an ambitious and deeply immersive game that left me with mixed emotions—but in the best way possible. The Chornobyl Exclusion Zone feels alive and hostile, a place where the air is thick with danger, and every corner holds an eerie surprise. The game excels in creating an atmosphere that grips you and doesn’t let go: dynamic weather, unsettling radioactive storms, and pitch-black nights make every step into the Zone a tense but exhilarating journey.

On the other hand, STALKER 2 isn't without its struggles. Bugs and technical glitches occasionally yank you out of the experience. I hit a few roadblocks, like missions not progressing correctly or enemies behaving oddly. It’s frustrating when you’re completely engrossed in a scene only to be tripped up by these technical issues. That said, it’s part of the “charm” in a weird way—just like life, the game’s imperfections make the successes that much more rewarding.

What keeps me coming back, though, is the sheer brilliance of its world-building. Every location tells a story, whether it’s a forgotten camp reclaimed by nature or a ghostly anomaly waiting to snap you up. The mix of gunplay, scavenging, and survival really gets under your skin—there’s something magical about balancing your limited resources against the constant dangers of mutated beasts, hostile factions, and the Zone itself.

It’s not an easy ride, but the moments of brilliance shine through. Whether it’s a breathtaking sunset breaking through a storm or barely surviving a night raid, STALKER 2 creates memories that stick with you long after you quit the game. It’s not perfect, but it’s still a must-play for fans of the series or anyone who loves immersive survival games. Life in the Zone is harsh, but it’s also oddly beautiful—and I can’t stop loving it.

The game can't save its settings, and every time you launch it, everything resets to default. The servers feel outdated, like they're from the early 2000s, with queues of up to 5,000 players. After waiting for two hours, you might encounter a black screen, forcing you to rejoin the queue. While the game itself has potential and is fun, these issues ultimately made me quit.

I didn’t think it would actually work, but for games like Cyberpunk and Valheim, it’s surprisingly effective. I have an RTX 2070 Super, and in Valheim, it significantly boosts my FPS, especially in large, player-built bases. The only downside is some increased latency and occasional artifacts. I think if users could set a desired frame rate, it might help reduce the latency issues. That would be a really nice feature!

Having invested over 200+ hours into playing Starfield, I've had the opportunity to delve deep and fully understand its intricacies. Starfield presents a vision of humanity's potential future in space exploration, offering a taste of the vastness and thrill of discovery. The game excels in engaging ship customization, allowing players to create unique spacecraft. However, it lacks complete control over the ship, including travel between systems, orbital flight, and manual landing and takeoff. The game holds immense potential for a robust modding community, akin to the success seen in Skyrim. It's important to note that titles like Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen currently represent the closest experiences to real space simulators. For Starfield to compete with these established games, it needs to address and overcome these challenges.
