I bought this game on pre-order, and even when it was bad I saw the potential. I loved it, I loved the exploration and mystery, even if it was empty. Put down the game once I got bored, and moved on to other games. Then I saw it got an update, and it didn't really add much, just fixed bugs they should have fixed when it came out. Then another update, and another update, and now with over 20 major updates, the game has evolved so much and holds a special place in my heart. Everything I loved in this game got updates, was expanded, and new things were added that I never expected to enjoy, like derelict freighters and living ships. On top of everything in this game that is already a unique and beautiful experience on its own, the multiplayer adds so many amazing things. The main story message resonates so well with the multiplayer aspect, and gives the game new meaning. I will never stop playing this game, out of love for the story within and the story it created in my own experience. Thank you Hello Games.
