What they do to you after Doryani is pretty lame. I know it's Early Access - so I guess I'd suggest waiting until release. Gut punch though.

Wow it's *REALLY* bad. This is the worst thing to happen this week. YOU HEARD ME.

This is a huge disappointment. I was really looking forward to this. It is a bad console port. I'm debating a refund, but I'm under the 2 hour mark so I'm going to wait and see what their plans are for week one patches since I preordered, don't really want to lose the preorder bonus if I don't have to. edit: I refunded. It's a bummer but this is gonna take a long time to fix.

KSP2, Cities Skylines 2, now Planet Coaster 2... Why do they hate us?

Do NOT buy this game in its current state.

No ultrawide support. Practically unplayable.

The bugs are pretty rough. I know it's Early Access, and this will be a positive review eventually I'm sure. Right now it's practically unplayable because of two pretty huge bugs:

1. Raiders will burn down your town, if you rebuild the rubble your residents will not move back into those homes. So you have to demolish and rebuild new burgages. Either way it's essentially unrecoverable unless you prioritize stockpiling to rebuild your entire settlement from scratch every few years, which is not fun.
2. Thunderstorms will spawn forest fires that burn perpetually for years, and will continuously burn down any new buildings you place.

There are other small bugs that aren't a problem. Savescum a little and enjoy. But I can't recommend an early access title that's essentially unplayable.

This will inevitably be a great game. The dev is amazing and I'm looking forward to continuing to bang my head into this one.

It's a negative review until Steam Workshop is implemented. (No, I don't care about paradox mods, shut up).

The story and characters are paper thin. The game systems and breadth of the maps are cool, but ultimately hollow thanks to the fast travel and the limitations of how those systems interact. The UI is rough.

This feels like a 10 year old game.

It doesn't help that it came out in such close proximity to one of the best RPGs of all time. Unfortunate, really.

edit: UI is bad. performance is not great but that's not a deal killer. $50 for an alpha test is insane. There's almost no functionality. The VAB is a horror show that doesn't work. Delta V calculations are just wrong - everything is buggy and broken. This was not ready for early access. This is a tech demo at best. Just reinstall KSP1 and wait a few years.

It's a great concept with great promise - but it's missing a lot of key features (like being able to fire actors or cancel your show). Right now it's nothing more than a playable demo imho.

It needs a LOT of work, but it could be great. I'll check back in later.
