Some don't like this game because there's not much choice.

Facts are there isn't a lot of choiceand in some conversations I would've said different things than what the player character would have said.

Some don't like this game because boobs/anime/it's an eroge/it's a VN/it's a dating sim.

Honestly, I've never been one to like dating sims (look at my most played games) or anime, or any of the things above. I never hated them but never really thought it was for me.

Anyways this game kinda changed that. Sure there's women with large breasts and sex if you add the hentai patch. However the focus is on the characters and the relatively mature themes of what to do with life, the nature of existence, and the excellent plot, and most importantly, the effects of one's actions on others. The writing apart from the funky translation is good, but if you've talked to actual russian girls they tend to say things the same way so there's a degree of veracity to it.

This ties in well with the nice soundtrack and excellent background art.

Also of note is that each ending really has a different message and life lesson. Is it a little corny? sure, but at the same time it feels like it was a good use of my time and made me really feel. Not only one emotion, but probably every ending will bring a different range of emotions.

Then once you've finished all the basic girl endings, the game takes that and throws it out the window. It goes to almost Tarkovsky levels of insanity and mind/reality bending and will make you super confused. Think through it for an hour, put the pieces together and you'll realise the developers were either blackout drunk or genius when they wrote the overarching story. Then, you truly have experienced this game.

Overall, if I was to describe this game in 3 words? Feels, thoughts, experience.

Good AI, Nice Gameplay (degradable suppressors!!! that you can detach!), ability to kidnap all the marines you ever wanted.

Really the only problem is the short story.

It's like Battlefield 2 had an orgy with a Top Down shooter.

Fun game, really makes you feel like a badass as you drive around in jeeps, shoot people, throw grenades, use your radio to call in fire missions, hijack trucks, etc.

In multiplayer it gets really crazy, though the netcode can be a bit glitchy.

Somewhere between arcade and realism, you die fast, but you also kill fast and can run around really fast, hence the title.

But, at the current price it's a great experience.

I nearly cried.

But yeah, perhaps the most deep-touching games I've played. Period.

If you're interested in ships only, don't get this game. Guaranteed to be a disappointment.

However if you want 5 new awesome nations, a lot of great new units that are fun to play with, and amphibious capability finally being modeled (AND EVEN MORE R77), I suggest that you get this game. It's pretty great for that.

It's basically an engine rewrite (multicore, new graphics) of the first MoW:AS, with shiny new models, 2 new(ish) tanks, and new missions made by a great community modder DJSatane (Much love, much respect). I've heard of some gameplay changes but I haven't noticed them.

He says DLC support will be greater, and hopefully the final game will be more stable (it crashes extremely often now). Hopefully older content will be easily ported to this.

I'd get it only if you're a hardcore MoW fan, otherwise wait until after release. Still, Assault Squad was probably the best multiplayer experience in the series and an improved version of it is probably worth getting in my book (provided stability issues are solved)

I'd say it's the best zombie apocalpyse experience... not DayZ, not WarZ, not Walking Dead.

Get some of your friends and play this instead :D

Pretty great, fun game. Full scale conflict in scandinavia with pretty much the full arsenals of 12 nations. Planes add a new aspect to gameplay that's fresh and helps break up monotony, also ground combat is vastly improved. 93/100
