Do you like the style of Mount and Blade? And War of The Roses?

This is basically a Chinese version of it, but the animations so far are kinda clunky, the bodies of people clipping through others is kinda lame, specially when an enemy simply passes through you and hits you even though you had your shield up. It takes a boring while to get into fights with a decent amount of people, the menus are still a bunch of visual pollution. The overall idea is interesting, a progressive-like game inspired by Mount and Blade. But I couldn't stand the first hour because of the amount of confusion and clunkyness. I just didn't see any point in insisting playing.

I guess I will reinstall this game in the next 2 years and see what happened.

I didn't start this game in its early stages so I can't tell about how the game grew (although you will notice that there is quite a lot of comments talking about this).

I'd give gameplay about 8/10. Right now, I'm enjoying the game pretty much, but that's because I don't care about spending a lot of time building stuff rather than go immediatelly exploring, such part, although abundant, has its limit right now. The combat is not bad. There are some glitches, yes, however with "normal" gameplay I haven't found anything gamebreaking.

Graphics I'd give about 7-8/10. It looks good. Graphic tweaking is kind of limited at the moment, as it seems that there is no file to change things by yourself. I have a fairly new rig that runs the game just fine, and a very old notebook that actually plays this (not recommended tho).

Sound effects is nice, and there is a small cassette player you find along with some tapes scattered around with some sweet indie-like rock soundtrack. I'll give it 10.

Overall for an Early Access this game looks promising. I know that there some LOTS OF stories of games that had a lot of potential and are now dead, but this game is one I like to believe that will survive and eventually become a very famous one. Specially because it is looking pretty solid and quite affordable. Survival is also a trend in this decade so I think that this game has everything to become a great one. Probably one of the best gifts I ever got from a friend, I even intend to buy a copy for my wife to play with me! (Personal cry: I'll have to wait for a sale though, as the currency is my country is ludicrously inflated)

The game itself is cool, if you are NOT familiar with the Mount & Blade titles I suggest you to start either with the regular one (which is only single player) or Warband (which has an expanded single player more + the multiplayer battles), or if you have just With Fire and Sword and can't get the other titles, I think you should lower all the difficulties, because this game can get cruel really fast with you.

Which brings to my downpoints. Mount and Blade has always had an unfair start in my opinion. Too unfair against the enemies or against you. You ALWAYS have a horse right at the beginning, meaning that you learn how to fight on a horse really fast, but the regular enemies (Lowest tier: Looters) almost won't stand a chance against you. But then as soon as you face the second-lowest tier of enemies (Bandits) almost all of them have firearms with decent accuracy, meaning they can one-shot you or your lowest tier recruits really fast. Contrary to the other titles, I believe that this game has the hardest start of them all, specially because I didn't see any Tournaments. BUT I believe this was intended as a challange because like I said the start of the other titles was kind of unfair to your favor, now it's kind of unfair against you. For some, this may be part of the project, but for me, this was not well thought.

The second downside I found was that with some low spec computers running everything in the lowest setting possible the game is running pretty good, but during some points, specially melee fights, the fps just drops to the floor, it goes from 60+ to 1 or to weird chokes in a second, and that may occur when you are aiming at someone who is also aiming at you but then you can't be fast enough in the trigger because of fps lag, then you get killed. This has annoyed me the most in this game, something that I did not observe in Warband.

Aside from that, it's a decent game! Graphics are kinda ugly for its time but not that bad if you raise some settings, and because battles can get quite big they needed to make things simpler. I don't think I would recommend getting this game out of a sale, though. I totally would for Warband, it's a great experience (sandbox, tactics, commanding, fighting, etc), but not for With Fire and Sword.

I have played about 5 levels so my opinion may not be totally accurate, but I already got a decent grip of how the game works.

This game is great when got during a sale (my case). It's relatively fun, the community creation aspect and etc is a big plus, but the combat is kinda clunky for a Hack n' Slash. I found myself waving my weapon at nothing at many times, and the play with mouse + keyboard seem much worse than with a controller, I think a controller recomendation should be there. *However if you press the movement keys on the same direction the mouse is pointing at while striking, it does seem (at least seem) to improve accuracy.

Also, despite having quite simplistic graphics, I have both a gaming computer and a notebook, and I found myself shocked to notice that the notebook couldn't run above 30 fps, actually not even above 20. It's an i3 with 4 gigs of memory, and the video card isn't really great, but it plays Dota 2 really well with almost moderate graphic settings. Not being able to run this game just seems... wrong. * NOTE I put the game in the lowest settings and now things are pretty smooth, at least with small mobs so far, but to me it is still weird that Dota 2 on some average aspects still runned smoother. Anyways at least you will probably play the game decently with just a little better than minimum specs.*

Anyway I'm not sure if I would recommend this game for full price, but if you are looking for a new way of experiencing old concepts from action rpg-like games, this one will probably keep you entertained for quite some time. I just wish the hitboxes and optimizations were, (I may be wrong here but that's how I felt) better. Still, I think I found myself a new timekiller.

The continuation of the first Borderlands which was highly acclaimed for its rpg elements with exploration, lots of guns, comical approeaches and lots of enemies to blast.

Borderlands 2 made those things even better, but Handsome Jack is the main reason you just decide to keep playing the game, to know what other brillant and crazy comment he is going to talk about you or to finally beat the hell out of his face for the terrible things he did. That guy just needs a chill pill. Or needed. Anyway, he's dead now.

Playing this with friends is what makes this game special. Do it!

This has been a good criticized game for some time already for its inteesting interaction and presentation of the evolution of most game genres, comical approach and references and inside jokes.

But when I feel like just playing a cool minigame in this I just go into Evoland and play Double Twin against the NPCs with the cards I found along my exploration of the actual game. It's such a nice timekiller.

-Okay, maybe now I can hunt some Eidolons.

One of my favorite games to date. I played this back when it came in a CD and it suggested you to instell DirectX 3.a (!)
With a great comic approach, but with well done puzzles and a (although crazy) interesting story, this game has a bit of everything: Action, Puzzles, Comedy, Exploration and it has its somewhat open world parts!

tl;dr if you enjoy old style adventure games with lots of things to do and discover, you won't regret this. It never gets old.

This game had a combination of 3d envirorment (normally outdoor) with 2d envirorment (indoor isometric) and it is really really old, so don't expect great graphics.

But Twinsen's Odyssey has its magic for everything, the game is great, the soundtrack is excellent and has a lot of personality.

And just SO many things happen in this game! The first part of the game is:
-Your dino-fly pet is struck by lightning (no biggie) because of a heavy raining and fell then got injured (I mean lightning is nothing, right??)
-You go to the pharmacy to find a medicine for the dino-fly but then they have nothing for it. A lady says she knows someone who can help you but.
-Some random dude comes and steals the lady's umbrella you gotta take it back so that she will tell you what she knows (quests everyone?)
-You give her the umbrella and she tells that in a nearby island (you also live in an island) there is a Wizard Doctor who can help you, but then.
-It is raining so hard the ferries can't take you to the island. You discover that there is a Weather Wizard who can help you, but he needs to reach the highest place, that is a Lighthouse but.
-The gatekeeper of the lighthouse is missing, and you find out that he was kidnapped by a monster.
-So you gotta:
Find the monster's den to save the lighthouse gatekeeper to open the lighthouse so that the Weather Wizard can stop the raining, so that you can take the ferry and go to the other island, to find a doctor who can help you with your dino-fly, then come back and finally heal the injure!!

And that's just the BEGINNING of the game!

It's amazing, really.

I got so many copies to give my friends and play with. Turned out it was so broken I was embarrassed to give them to my friends. And it is not and will never be completed again. Thank goodness nowadays there are some ways to get refund because this was not the case back then.
No news since 2014 and in Early Access. Why is this even still on Steam?
