Flatout probably is one of the most underrated racing franchises in history. It is known for its destruction. This game in particular probably for its challenge too.
When being younger i only played the hell out of FlatOut 2, which is by far the better game. I have a lot of experience in racing games, i love them, of course i wanted to pick this one up since it's in sale for less than 2 Bucks. Just for the sake of being able to say "Yep, i did play this game!".

This game is as simple as it sounds: Racing & Destruction. You have a campaign, containing "levels" divided Bronze, Silver and Gold which have different sets of courses. Those courses have four different locations and conditions (Forest, construction site, snow/ice area and some kind of suburb each having different routes. With Each Set won, you unlock Bonus Levels consisting of Crashderby and Fun Modes with your Driver Ragdoll being the literal controllable "Ball" for Bowling, high jump etc.

Is this Videogame a Good Videogame?

FlatOut did not Lag, Crash or Bug Out even once. Using Windows 10, I7 7700k + GTX 1080 Ti. Since there is no controller support, i played on my Keyboard (WASD setting)

For todays standards: No. Not at all. In 2005, the main selling point indeed was the destruction. This still does work good. It is just no fun at all in this game. The reason for this is simply the physics.

Do not get me wrong, the physics are great and work as intended. It is just the typcial racing game flaws which make the game harder than it should be and trust me: This Game is extremely hard. FlatOut rewards you by giving Nitrous during the race and paying extra credits after the race for causing chaos and destruction, not only for enemy cars but also destructable objects distributed along the route. This is fine. The Damage cars take actually does alter the handling and capability. This is also fine. But.. If FlatOut didn't punish you while trying to cause Chaos & Destruction, this would be a legitimate game mechanic. Every single object representing basic obstacles on the track (like tree trunks in the forest, contruction equipment, barrels etc) does have way too much weight. Your car gets slown down way too hard when driving through anything plus the damage is big. It does not make sense to actually play for this mechanic. If you want to get to the finish line AND win the race, you can not play like this. It is too risky and too little rewarding. AI vehicle also have, oh my god, SO much weight on them that its literally suicide trying to crash them out.
You have got to imagine: YOU crashing THEM, with or without nitrous, it does nothing but damage to your own car. THEM touching YOU makes your car fly. Your own car generally is really sensitive to anything. Sometimes you sneeze too hard and the driver goes flying. In addition to that, the pure driving physics do work and feel natural but also very unresponsive and kind of cluncy which forces you to be EXTREMELY precice. All this makes this game, as said before, really hard. I was and still am impressed by the AI not rubberbanding those courses, making actual mistakes and being only slightly aggressive.
There is no difficulty setting which basically means that if you struggle to win races.. You gotta git gud.
Either you'll be first 10 seconds into the race so your only enemy shall be the streets, thats basically 5 minutes boring "gameplay" OR you get crashed all the time because you're too frustrated because of those physics lol; first situation still requires you to be, also as said before, very precise. One single little mistake will make you go fly and it takes only a couple of seconds to be overtaken, which also can get really frustrating 4 minutes into the race.

There is a good amount of vehicles you can choose from, non licensed ones, all being "Crappy" and for destruction intented. You Buy Cars with Credits gained by winning races and bonus events and you also tune them up in terms of perfomance. Since there is no garage, meaning you own only one car at a time, there is no sense in buying anything besides the best one you can get. In total, i drove only three different cars. (you unlock more and better ones while progressing)

Did I enjoy this Videogame? Do I recommend this Videogame?

Yes, I did and Yes, I do. Quite a lot actually. I had to do A LOT of restarting (the races, not the game). In theory, you should be able to beat this game within 2-3 hours. I legit needed almost 9. Felt like the Souls-Like of racing games, just like Midnight Club 2 but on a different vibe. Thing is: The moment you notice your own improvement feels awesome. Actually beating every single race in first position? I really felt like the Giga-Giga-Chad himself.
As I said: Physics, Handling and Visuals work as intended, it's just plagued by typical racing game problems even todays games still have.

Trial & Error, Repeat & Adjust. I guess this is the best description for my playthrough. You not only have to study those courses, you really have to constantly "fight" to win a race. I do not think that i would replay this game, like ever, since FlatOut 2 still is the better videogame to waste my time on. But even with that said, i'm glad i played this through. In sale for less then 2 Bucks, it was worth it. For me at least.

The Old Blood is the prequel DLC for The New Order. It ends right when the main game starts. Loved it. Was surprisingly short considering the average review was written at ~10 hours playtime. Made it at second hardest difficulty. probably because i just don't give a ... about collectables and achievments

Gameplay is exactly what people probably expect to get when starting this game. Same as The New Order. Progressing through the game will give you more weapons, accessable by a Weapon Wheel using the mouse wheel.
Theres the pistol with an optional silencer, an assault rifle, a combat shotgun, sniper rifle with an optional scope and a new one called Kampfpistole, which is basically some pistol with grenades in it. Near the end you'll get a sawn off shotgun (you literally make it sawn off in a cutscene) but it does not really feel more powerful or special than the other weapons, still works fine and feels satifying to use. Every weapon except for the sniper rifle and the Kampfpistole can be used as akimbo costing the right click zoom.
Theres an additional metal pipe which is mostly used for scripted climbing parts as this is a linear shooter, though you can reach secret locations by it and get those achievements. Of course there are collectables too. Had a good run finding one by one at the beginning, at least i thought so until i lost track and stopped caring for those.
Finding beds between chapters will give you the option to sleep while entering some original Wolfenstein Levels, never ended one because of those getting more unfair the longer you survive in there.
Combat is intense and brutal (so glad i can play the uncut version in germany) and can indeed be challenging at times (depends on difficulty set). You really HAVE to use cover. holding ALT + W/A/S/D activates leaning in any direction which i found to be very useful at times. There is also some automatic leaning but its rather annoying than actually helping. Rushing in COD-BeLike is not effective and will kill you very quickly. Its something i welcome by a lot. Shooting itself feels great and powerful while not being too unrealistic (have in mind this is some arcade shooter of course). You can pick up different ammo types for specific weapons, find armor and health packs plus grenades and throwable knifes. Every combat area gives you optional stealth. Those parts are repetitive but fun since the game does give you a medium large playground to explore and outplay AI's. Speaking of which, AI works fine. At times they stack around one spot and at other times they seem very smart and start flanking me (?!)
There are like plenty different enemy types with unique characteristics (like being more tanky or somthin). This will make you actively use your weapon wheel since some are more powerful against those enemy types and serve good in varity for fight situations BUT is not neccessary at all.
By achieving a certain amount of specific actions (like stealth kills, picking up armor, amount of headshots) will unlock perks (like bigger magazines, more total health etc) which replaced some garbaged leveling RPG system (doesn't have to be bad, just doesn't fit into this kind of shooter) and won't come in your way.

The Story is mediocre at best. Narrative makes sense (for the most part) and does not get out of hand. There are less cutscenes than in the main game which makes sense since this is a DLC resulting in lower budget than a main game. It also gives you some information about the Nazi getting this advanced in technology giving even more depth into the scenario. It works fine and i like conversations between people. It makes you notice how the main character acts and talks to people differently depending on "Do i know this person? Do i like this person?" - its greatly done. Voice acting is almost perfect. Monologues are heartfelt. I like what they've done and its not even weird hearing german voices throughout the game. World Immersion is perfectly executed thanks to the love for the detail in every corner plus dialogues you hear from Nazi.

Graphics is something i can not complain about. It looks good. Same as The New Order. Though i'm not sure about optimization (Also, same as main game, same engine). You can see low res textures scaling and loading up at EVERY SINGLE camera move, It's ugly and not fixable. Game Engine is capped to 60 FPS (same goes with Monitor refresh rate) which is extremily frustrating. Feels laggy and tearing exists BIGTIME, VSync and Window Mode won't change that. You definetily get used to this after some time playing but it is extremily visable and annoying as hell. It is possible to unlock the framerate by some console commands, though people say it speeds up gametime and breaks physics so i didn't touch anything. Also, the game crashed multiple times. Just closed itself without any error message. Happened 4 times in my 4 hours playtime. Other than that, i had no problems.

Overall i can recommend this DLC for sure. It may not be the objectively best game available but it is a good one. It is a lot of fun. And Thats what Video Games are about, right? 30 Bucks is way too much for a single DLC and that short amount of playtime. Wait for the franchise being in sale and you'll get every (new) wolfenstein entry for much much much less money.

Borderlands GOTY Enhanced is the remastered version of Borderlands GOTY, which is basically the only difference while adding some quality of life improvements (like inventory, a mini map, mass looting by holding the button etc etc) but also adding a couple of bugs. I needed like 20 hours playtime to complete the main story + every existing sidequest. I know that you have to play this at least twice since you can level up to 60+ (i finished the game at 36). The second playthrough will affect the enemy difficulty and loot. I'm simply not interested in playing it the second time just for the achievements. - the DLC are not that great too if i want to listen to different reviews. I personally needed 3-5 hours until i had a real good time and then i understood why this game went so popular.

Don't get me wrong, this game is awesome. Good old Borderlands at its best. Amazing characters (both villains AND heroes/ allies), great humor and a lot of LOOT. According to Gearbox, there are 16,164,886 different weapons in this game. You won't EVER be able to play every single one of them at least once. Which is not bad thing though. The Loot System works great. This games LORE gives you a reason why fast travelling exists, why vehicles can be literally spawned, which i think is awesome as being such a little detail. The story itself is very simple: There is a special place called Vault. This place opens only once in 200 years and contains something super super special (i have no idea, either it doesn't explain OR didn't listen good enough). And there is a bad person, the villain, who wants to abuse the thing thats in the Vault for power. You have to stop it. Just a side note: Borderlands is one of those franchises which just don't need a good storyline to be fun. The gameplay does serve good enough to be entertained for a lot of hours)

There are four classes to pick from. They have their own skill strees and a unique special ability. The skill tree is actually pretty easy. Each character has three paths to prefer based on their class which looks like [Survival // Assassin // Bruiser] if you want an example. You upgrade your character while progressing through the game and it works fantastic.

The remaster itself looks good, even though there is no much room for improvement due to the art style which never gets old (maybe better lighting effects, shadows, more details etc). The graphics menu is kind of glitchy. Anisotrophic filtering does reset as you close the game every single time. Also, the Monitor hz says 50, but once you've set it correctly it stays on your prefered one. As other reviews probably already told you about is the poorly working multiplayer Borderlands originally had to offer. Only the host sees the proper location of waypoint markers, FPS drop down in coop for some reason and a couple of Quest Items won't appear at some parts which i fixed by simply restarting the game. Also, the custom waypoint marker just appears by itself on the top left side of the map for some reason.

The AI is 2009 standart i'd assume. Enemies will see you either too far away and start shooting at you or you just walk up to their face without being noticed, though they do have the typical AI wallhack and will shoot at walls if you use the cover. The combat is pretty stiff and basic but it's good enough.

While playing it further, you'll probably be overleveld as hell which takes all the challenge, especially if you find a good sniper, MSG or shotgun. (started at level 20 for me when i noticed that the recommended level was 17-19ish) The game is way easier in generell due to its element focused system. Electric weapons are good against shields, Fire weapons good against flesh. It's as simple as it is even if i struggled to find out for wtf the acid is for since i had no influence by this weapon at any enemy type.

If you want to play this game with your friends, do this at the original version since it works way better than this one. I enjoyed this game and will go further to be playing the second entry into the franchise. But.. Don't buy an almost 12 years old game for 30 bucks. Just wait for a sale.

So i played Arkham Origins within 20 hours. I love this game in every single aspect. It's not as good as City, not at all, but it doesn't mean that Origins is a bad game.

The Story takes place in 1985, when Bruce Wayne was Batman for only two years. That's the part when the Joker arrives in Gotham for the first time and everybody is like "Who even is this guy?". But, the people and the Police don't really know about Batman too - They believe it's just rumors and stuff. At the end of the game is an interesting reference to Suicide Squad. When the credits show up, you hear a conversation in which the opening of the Arkham Asylum is discussed and leads towards to the happenings from the Asylum Game.

The Cold, Cold Heart DLC introduces Mr Freeze and you get to know his backstory.

The graphics are slightly improved compared to Arkham City, which was released in 2011. But it still runs the UE3, so the differents is not that big.
Gameplaywise, they improved it. It feels extremely fluent and satisfying to fight. Animations aren't getting canceled, like in Asylum or City which makes it look even better. It is still the FreeFlow-Fighting system they use, which is the best choice they could make for a Batman game.
If the WB Games Montreal can do something right, then it's the boss fights. They're so intense and so .. cinematic! It's just awesome. You don't even have this feeling of being invincible. You actually must do something to win this fight.
Also, their cinematic cutscenes. It literally took me out because they're made in such an awesome way. This could be a movie actually.
The Voice Actors are extremely talented. Especially the Bane fight cutscenes ... stunning and brutal.

The open world is ... Okay? It doesn't look bad at all and it works (even though i had some bugs and glitches when i flew through the floor and got under the map) but it just feels like something is missing ... It feels empty and .. i can't really describe. But you know what i'm talking about. Also, North Gotham seems to me like a copy-paste from Arkham City with little changes and improvements. It kind of annoyed me to fly around this place, knowing where what is and all.

The End-Game is literally finding all the Riddler (here it's Enigma) collectables and doing the challanges to achieve 100%, on which i'm not interested in. Without it, you're likely to end the game at 40%.

Recommendation 100%

For those who are interested in the timeline and the chronological order of the Arkham Story:

- Batman: Arkham Origins >
Takes place in 1985 and shows the second year for Bruce Wayne's second life as "Batman". You get to know "The Joker", like, he literally appears for the first time. You see Harley Qinn before she was in live with Joker etc etc ...

- Batman: Arkham Asylum >
This one is five years after the happenings from Arkham Origins, which should be july 1990 and shows a more experienced Batman, with his rogues gallery now fully established.

- Batman: Arkham City >
About a year has fallen since the thing in the Arkham Asylum (Feb 1991) and you'll get to see more of the "bigger prison" Arkham City.

- Batman: Arkham Knight >
That games takes place about a year after City (Oct/31/1992) and shows Batman dealing with the fallout of the previous games events.

Therefore, by the end of the series Bruce has been operating as Batman for almost ten years.

Thanks for reading. Hope it helped new-comers. You can get it for less than 5 bucks in key-stores.

I played it almost 20 hours and i saw literally everything this game has to offer.
Yes, i had fun playing it. I did it with friends. But ...
As others already commented, devs make things worse than they used to be.

It's a nice idea, atmopshere is top notch but the gameplay does not work in so many different places. They, for whatever reason, removed certain enemy types. The huge worm now seems to change direction mid-air so its not that easy to dodge this entirety anymore. Simple Gameplay Mechanics like Combat and Movement got clunky and unresponsive with fall damage being literally as bad as some The Witcher 3 bugs were. The short story of 2 hours doesn't work as intented (though i remember this actually working far better than it is now). Looting and Harvesting has no logic to it anymore since the tools you're using don't seem to make sense in terms of kind of tool and damage it does to certain objects with durabilty feeling weird since you simply can't tell what you're doing wrong. Though, the Game doesn't care to tell you. Like, come on! Minecraft did better in 2011. Even No Mans Sky at release state worked better than this game does after 8 years in EA.

I am not sure what went wrong but it certainly does not serve this videogame any good. Still a big No for me.

Bought it for the story, 5 bucks on Key-Store. I must say, it was totally worth it.

The first few Missions are really chaotic and intense, but thats not a bad thing.
Thats the first CoD i played, where you have main- and side missions.
Well, you have 3 Main-Missions. And plenty side missions, which are just way too short and don't affect the story at all.

You got an own Space-War-Fighter, the controls are great. Shooting enemy fighters feels satisfying.

Gameplay is ... Well, CoD since CoD 4. Not much difference.
The Jump-Boost and Wallrunning feels more fluent and.. better than in Bo3.
There are less weapons than in older CoD's, but that didn't bother me.
There are two types of weapons:
>Energy-Weapons, which shoots lazer-thingies and do better against robots.
>Bullet-Weapons, which are just normal weapons and of course better against human.

The Story is simple: Kill all Mars-People, because they want to destroy the Earth. Yes, the main charakter (you) talks.
I needed 9 Hours to complete the campaign at highest difficulty.

Graphics are good, the cutscenes look amazing. Still, the cutscenes can be annoying. They replay after loading screen. So you watch the same Cutscene twice.

I saw plenty bugs, most of them were just funny to watch. But those bugs didn't destroy the game.
Perfomance is surprisingly good, ran at V-Sync 75FPS without drops, playing on RX 480 and i7 7700k.

A few missions are annoying and unfair, especially at the difficulty i played.

If they didn't call it Call of Duty, it probably would not be that hated, as it is now.

Don't buy for multiplayer.

I enjoyed this game a lot. Nice told story, nice gameplay, nice futuristic location.

It's Paris, Neo Paris. But .. It just does not feel french at all. No one speaks french, no one got a french name. Just one Building, the prison, got a french name. You can not explore the city. This game is linear as hell.

The Games Plot is about getting your Memories back. You can controll others mind and memories and make them to fake memories. Thats nice, but .. Only in scripted events.

One, really annoying thing is, that you can not skip the cutscenes. Every time you die, you got to watch the cutscene again.

Graphics itself are great for 2013, a few enjoyable moments and scenes.

You can enjoy the game. But not for this price.

30 Bucks are way too much. 5 are okay.
