i had missed the magic of the original Deceit and while the changes made sense on paper - it never quite clicked. Deceit 2 definitely learns lessons from Among Us - and it works. Innocents do tasks giving Infected chances to cause trouble.

It's not perfect, there are definitely some broken items - eg. the teleporter. Put it near the exit, grab the key at the end and ez win. I'm sure they'll sort it out. And also, in private games you theoretically have the ability to disable items (did not work for me consistently though).

Anyway, best sign that they did a great job is that the game is fun even if you lose. Give it a go with some friends.

Was provided this by the EA Creator Portal - so thx EA. But yeah, wasn't entire sure what to expect going in - but after the first 3 hours it feels great and I'm excited to progress the game and unlock stuff. Combat feels fun, writing is good.

I do have some complaints though:

- I feel like your character should talk to himself more, especially if you encounter a puzzle thats not unsolvable until later in the game. I spent time on one for way too long until a viewer told me that it's not possible yet. If my character just said something like "this looks like its over my head for now, I better get going to X" i'd have taken the hint.

- default keybinds for mouse and keyboard are bad. why are key combat abilities assigned to CTRL and TAB. feels like someone arbitrarily assigned them and never tested it. anyway, you can change bindings, so not a big deal.

Anyway, both extremely minor. Game is a ton of fun so far. Excited to earn upgrades, backtrack, etc etc. Great job to the team on this one!

Pretty amazing so far. Definitely stays true to the original Baldurs Gate games while applying what they've learned from the Divinity games. Can't wait to dive further in.

Took my time and really enjoyed the game. Upgrading my ship, exploring different areas, taking in the visuals. Everything felt great. The pacing was well done and didn't feel drawn out.

I'm not a competitionist so there's plenty of fish I never found and some basic quests I never did. Maybe down the line I'll go for a full 100%.

Update: way better designed about half way through, although I'd honestly still wait for a sale unfortunately.

Tough to suggest the game at full price - not because of the performance issues - but because of so many small things they get wrong considering their pedigree with Dead Space

But first off, the game is gorgeous & the sound is amazing. Truly spectacular.

With that said...

- Saving is basically worthless: it doesn't actually save your progress, the loot you obtained, the upgrades you purchased. It just references the last checkpoint you were at. Frustrating.

- Inventory system is very limited, at least for the first half of the game. And you can (and should) sell the stuff you don't need for upgrades. The only item that seems to stack so far is bullets. I don't want to fight the inventory system.

- Unlike Dead Space, this game is extremely backtracking unfriendly with no clear sense of when you'll be blocked off. Need to pick up some loot you couldn't fit in your inventory? You might end up in a new zone where you can't go backwards because they decided you all the sudden can't remove a fuse you've been re-using several times. Bizarre.

- Way points to buy stations would have been useful like in previous dead space games. I get the decision not to have waypoints for which way to go for the main quest line - but some areas can get confusing (at least for an old man like me) without a map system.

- Combat is pretty satisfying, and I appreciate how they handled the dodge system and that they are doing something new - but it ultimately feels way less fun than Dead Space where you're balancing the removal of limbs when hordes of enemies are coming at you.

Overall - feels like a step back in many respects and I hope they re-learn what made the Dead Space franchise fun to play. In the meantime, I'd personally wait for this to go on sale.

It's gonna be a good year for CoD. This beta isn't perfect - the menu interface is confusing, and of course a bunch of stuff doesn't work as expected - but the gameplay is fun and feels good.

Great gateway to high-risk gameplay - especially if Tarkov is intimidating.

Surprised by how fun this is - I'm typically not the type to replay levels to get max scores, etc - but these are like fun FPS puzzles. This was sent to me to check out, not paid or anything.

This is the perfect Steam Deck game. Can't believe I almost missed this. Love the combat. Playing on the hardest difficulty for the chance to get rare drops is an excellent mechanic. EZ buy. I'll get all the DLC next time it's on sale.
