It feels good to be back

That was a great little romp. Great card gameplay, laughed pretty hard at a few things, really enjoyed the three act structure. Hell, if it was only the first act I'd be in for the price tag alone.

The concept is neat, but some polishing needs to be done with the friendly AI. I feel like I shouldn't have to guess whether a combat android with an assault rifle is going to be able to handle a single bug on its own. Worth it on a sale, honestly, but I think I'll come back to it once its further along in development.

Play 3 (modded with engine updates) and NV instead. They certainly took some steps forward but even with mods they took so many steps back.

More of a mindless asset dump than a game. I don't know if this should even be on Steam.

well, yes, but also, no.

This is one of those times I wish for a sideways-thumb review button.

Felt great about 80% of the way through the game but came to an abrupt close that left me feeling off, with a lack of answers and a bit of confusion about elements of the first game that seem to have been retconned or ignored that I wanted to see expanded on - Grimoire's magic hat & companion is no where to be found, and events regarding Richard Remington in the previous game feel a tad more brushed over than they should be, more than they needed to be for the sake of people diving into this game first rather than second.

At the same time, the music is unique and great, the artwork stands out in quality, and the dynamic between Sally and Grimoire is stellar. I am left wanting for more, which is just fine - but I feel like this entry could have used more time in the oven to wrap quite a few more dangling plot threads up.

Really, really scratched an itch I didn't know I had. Fits right up there in the higher tier of building games of Factorio and games of its ilk. Pretty solid for a $2 sale.

I am amazed that this came out in the condition it's in. Remarkably janky movement, camera controls and dialogue. I can see why people may hold some nostalgia for this game or the previous iteration, but really, this remaster needs its own remaster.
