I bought this game for the renaissance flair coming from last played games like kingdome come and plague tale. I must say the game holds its promises. the voice acting is great, the outside scenery is stunning and the flair is what i was expecting so recommend it. nice gun fights, etc. The diplomatic role is interesting as well.

But nevertheless the game comes short on some points. At first it seams the game rewards you for exploring the world... unless you notice some all the barren areas where "nothing" seams to be... because later some guys settle there.

It seams as the developers tried an pseudo "open world" where the uninteresting areas are not locked but accessible... but empty.
For a rpg this kind of ruins the atmosphere.... and the fun on exploring.

Example needed? You can explore an mine. Find an closed door. Find an broken cog and even fix it. But i am not allowed to insert it to the machinery that opens the door until someone tells me what to find there...
So why explore the iland at all? you will eventually retrieve quests for all those areas with map-markers where to go.... what a shame.

In addition to that all the houses look the same. no difference if you are within the governours palaces of all three factions on the isle. Same building, at least hikmeth uses an different color scheme. But even the same paintings on the wall... worst thing is the bedroom in the palace where even the exact identical items lie everywhere (which looked good as your cousins room - but really annoys if you encounter it for the third time in different cities) .

Then please.... just place an guard in front of those private areas instead of letting players see all theese "dummy" areas.

Early Access Review
Wow... If you like your games relaxing and easy this might be the wrong game for you....
But If you are in for a challenge. Here it is.

I really liked the mood from the beginning... and failed disastrous on my first couple of tries. Heck... I even switched back to the easy mode and failed. 😜

After an while you get the Idea and fight your way through hordes of undead to the second and even third map...But still I suck in the more difficult modes...

Gee. Still the game comes back to me after all while and each try again...Really great game if you accept the challenge. :-)

Sehr coole Atmosphäre. Gutes Spielprinzip. Nervt zwischenzeitlich nur sehr, das immer nur ein Charakter abends Material beschaffen kann. Auch leider etwas kurzweilig.
