When the world is filled with red lights (signaling danger),the world is safer than usual But when it’s filled with green lights (signaling safety), it creates a place more dangerous than anywhere. The world’s full of people who think God’s watching over them when they cross on green. But in reality, that’s not the case at all. It’s merely that the risk is cut in half. If you don’t want to face any danger, don’t cross any crosswalks

“But the possibility of a drunk driver swerving into you on the sidewalk isn’t zero either.”

“Correct, that’s not zero. But that’s all the more reason to say stuff like this. Someone, for instance myself, should be saying such things: What a dangerous place this world is. ‘How the world’s peaceful. How it’s full of dreams and hope and salvation. How people were born to love each other and be friendly. How children were obligated to be friendly.’ Since you’re intoxicated in your speech as you blab that stuff, you’re easily caught off guard. Children in war zones, even without proper schooling, are more sound. At least, they’re more avaricious about life. In their eyes, all the signals they see are red, not green.
