Rough around the edges, but it clearly has a big heart.

Literally the only things missing in this port are the enhanced cutscenes from the PS5 version and the motion controls.
Otherwise, this is an extremely solid port, and my preferred way to play the game!

Early Access Review
Full disclosure: I haven't played an online match yet, so I cannot vouch for the multiplayer. However, I have played the tutorial and a couple Score Attack matches, and I can definitely say that the ground level mechanics are pretty solid.

The controls are easy to grasp, and I can see it being a ton of fun with friends! The visual presentation is quite good, despite almost everything being 3D models, they still managed to achieve that claymation feel, with imperfect models filled with "fingerprints" and no interpolation between frames, for example.

Being an Early Access game, it's naturally still in active development, and there are a ton of little issues that I'd like to see addressed: 1. There are no graphics options in-game, and the launcher simply offers obtuse "Fantastic!" and "Standard" presets, with no option to tweak settings individually; 2. Sound design is weak, weapons don't feel powerful enough, for example; 3. The HUD and menus are a little too "basic", I'd love to see them take a bit more of a clay-like appearance; 4. Bots! I know this game's focus is on multiplayer, but it'd be cool to have the option to fill a match between two human players with six other bots, or be able to play solo on multiplayer only modes.

I could write a four paragraph manifesto about how damn good this soundtrack is, but you already know that.

It's jazz. It's horror. It's groovy. It's mariachi. It's amazing. It's Sam and Max.

Stay awhile, and listen...

I'll write a more detailed review when I finish my journey through moon, though I'll say I'm enjoying it quite a lot so far!

First of all, thank you so much for bringing this game to more platforms! The more people that can experience the love, the better.

And here comes the main reason I wanted to write a review so soon: I really appreciate the option to turn off filtering (push "5" key on keyboard!) as I do prefer my pixel art games looking crisp and, well, pixelated. But there seems to be an issue on how the game is scaled, as there is quite a bit of shimmering when the camera moves.

Also, there seems to be some serious screen-tearing going on in fullscreen mode. I haven't seen anyone mention this, so it could be a problem on my end? I'll settle for windowed mode for now, I suppose.

Regardless, I've been enjoying my time with moon, and I can't wait to play more of it!

The amount of love and passion oozing from this remaster is palpable.
As with Save the World, the visual presentation is simply fantastic, and a huge step up from the original. The new camera angles, the models, the colors, the lighting, it's all so beautiful.

The writing is sharp, sharper than I remember! I played this with a couple of friends and we were laughing quite a bit. This is definitely the best writing in the TTG trilogy, in my opinion.

The music is as outstanding as ever, with a handful of new tracks by the boys over at Bay Area Sound, and they're all just as good, if not better than the original compositions! ("Maimtron 9000's Pancake Breakfast" is a standout one for me, it's so damn good!)

Overall, I think Skunkape have outdone themselves with this one, it's an expertly crafted remaster of an old classic, they just simply knocked it out of the park.
Thank you so much for keeping Sam and Max alive!
