I'll write a more detailed review when I finish my journey through moon, though I'll say I'm enjoying it quite a lot so far!

First of all, thank you so much for bringing this game to more platforms! The more people that can experience the love, the better.

And here comes the main reason I wanted to write a review so soon: I really appreciate the option to turn off filtering (push "5" key on keyboard!) as I do prefer my pixel art games looking crisp and, well, pixelated. But there seems to be an issue on how the game is scaled, as there is quite a bit of shimmering when the camera moves.

Also, there seems to be some serious screen-tearing going on in fullscreen mode. I haven't seen anyone mention this, so it could be a problem on my end? I'll settle for windowed mode for now, I suppose.

Regardless, I've been enjoying my time with moon, and I can't wait to play more of it!

The amount of love and passion oozing from this remaster is palpable.
As with Save the World, the visual presentation is simply fantastic, and a huge step up from the original. The new camera angles, the models, the colors, the lighting, it's all so beautiful.

The writing is sharp, sharper than I remember! I played this with a couple of friends and we were laughing quite a bit. This is definitely the best writing in the TTG trilogy, in my opinion.

The music is as outstanding as ever, with a handful of new tracks by the boys over at Bay Area Sound, and they're all just as good, if not better than the original compositions! ("Maimtron 9000's Pancake Breakfast" is a standout one for me, it's so damn good!)

Overall, I think Skunkape have outdone themselves with this one, it's an expertly crafted remaster of an old classic, they just simply knocked it out of the park.
Thank you so much for keeping Sam and Max alive!

It took three years for this port to finally become decent. Better late than never, I guess.

There are still some small lingering issues, but otherwise I'm content with recommending this version of the game. Please play this game if you haven't yet.

OLD REVIEW:
It's No More Heroes, a fantastic, weird, funny, deep and sometimes philosophical experience.

The port is really barebones as of writing, which is a shame considering the wonderful killer7 release from the same dev a few years back: no KB+m support, no controller remapping, no resolution scaling and very limited XInput support (I had to install DS4Windows to even start the game). Also, regional pricing stinks at the moment!

As much as I want to give NMH a thumbs up, the state that the port is at right now is inexcusable. I will change my score as the issues are fixed, I'm sure Engine Software will be able to deliver.
Edit: Problems with Steam Input have been fixed, that's a step forward.

The fact this game is STILL receiving active support and new content 9 years after release (despite the tribulations in between) is phenomenal!

Listened to the tracks on bandcamp a ton after playing the game, but I just had to support it!

JEJ and the Bay Area Sound folk did a fantastic job with both the 2006 original and the remaster, this really is how S&M's world sounds like.
I still see myself humming some melodies from time to time!

Having the entire 82 track album in its highest quality for this price is an absolute steal.
