Game developers have not enabled cloud save after so many people asked for it. Their response is just they have issues and have moved on. Such a lazy response

So it saddens me to give a negative review, and i barely do reviews at all unless I feel I have to give my thoughts on something. After 4 different attempts, and more than 40 hours in I can safely say this is the most complicated system I have ever seen in any game. I really tried to understand the complexities, and normally I love that in games, but this is really just way over the top.

The 40 hours I have in the game is nothing compared to the hundreds of hours of Youtube videos I watched just trying to understand the game mechanics, how to progress, what to choose, how to loot, what to loot, where to loot, how to craft, how to build. there are so many "how to's" in this game, and I'm not even talking about the UI and the menus. I believe that this game is amazing for the people that can invest thousands of hours into it, and that the game is amazing once you understand most of it. But once I read one review that said "over 800 hours and I still dont know what to do"I knew that maybe my time will be better spent on something else. Maybe it is for you, I wish there were a simpler way for the devs to introduce the game to newcomers, having a campaign to play through to explain everything. The latest update (Devuri) or something, I think they attempted that, but I did not even know how to get to the place in the menu or UI to play the new mode or to start a new adventure and had to watch a video on that, and I still dont know how it works.

Im glad for everyone that enjoys the game, it is beautiful and the gameplay feels amazing, it is a free to play with no pay to win. So I believe the devs are amazing and the community too, but if dont like grinding alot, watching endless tutorials for absolutely everything in the game then this game will just frustrate you!

Let me start by saying this first:
Don't ever read any negative reviews of this game if it is more that 1 year old or if the person writing the review does not have at least 50 - 100 hours into the game. Ok, this might be a long review but if you are interested in buying this game please read this. I have been a gamer for almost 20 years now and I have over 200 games in my library. I love many types of genres all ranging from Xcom, Half Life, Borderlands, Ark, Apex just to name a few of my favourite games. The only time I will ever consider writing a review is when by breath was taken away by the game or when it is really terrible (pubg lol). This is what I consider when reviewing a game:

1. Value for money
2. If it is not a full blown amazing storyline game, what type of endgame elements are there / replayabilty.
3. Gameplay elements
4. Community / Devs involvement and the devs ability to listen to community feedback.

Here are things I hate:

1. Money making AAA stupid franchises that are controlled by board members and never listen to community feedback
2. Games that focuses more on micro transactions / skins etc. rather than giving the community good and sensible bug fixing patches, again I had more than 1000 hours in PUBG and these elements really started to get to me, in the first 2 years of the pubg lifespan the devs got more and more greedy and never listened to community ever!

So with all of this in mind, let me i give you my personal review of No Mans Sky...

Let me start by saying that I only started playing No Mans Sky after a year in release. I am aware of the very bad start the game had and everybody HATED Hello Games at that stage. But let me take my hat off to this studio, in fact I will take 10 hats off for them. If you know the whole story you will agree with me that Hello Games not only made a comeback, but showed ethics and character that no other game studio ever had. How many times do you hear of a game that failed, devs cashing in and pulling the plug completely leaving many angry gamers that lost money on a product that promised the moon and delivered cow poop.

Hello Games might be my all time favourite studio ever just because of the character they showed through the whole ordeal. When you make a mistake in life, you apologise and that is what most people or parents teach their children at least. What I teach my children is different, I teach my 2 kids that when they make a mistake or hurt somebody, they not only need to apologise, they must make amends. Here is the phrase that my kids use when one hurt the other... I am sorry for what I have done (exactly name whatever it is) and then the next sentence are "what can I do to make it up to you".

Hello Games could have said sorry and moved on, closed studio or start working on a new product to make more money. What did they do? What no other studio will ever do, the made things right. They listened to community, worked their asses off and fixed the broken mess of a game. More than a year after release they kept on bringing out fixes, FREE content, updates until the game far exceeded all the expectations that were promised at the beginning. So then they should have stopped there, start making updates and paid DLC to make more money, isnt this what is supposed to happen? No no no, they went another step further and made more FREE content up until now (4 years) with the most recent update, which is amazing by the way and I would have been more than happy to pay a few dollars to have TAMES and Breeding in the game.

I am not going to tell you how big this game is, you can watch youtube for that, it is like explaining to someone how big the universe are, you can write books about the content in this game and it keeps on improving every time I come back to play this masterpiece of a game. Me and my wife started playing Valheim recently (amazing game so far) and she asked me about No Mans Sky, I found it very difficult to explain to her the vastness of the game, it is just something you have to experience for yourself. I am almost 250 hours in and I still watch youtube videos for beginners sometimes. That might scare you off but in fact I have never felt so satisfied with grind and figuring stuff out as in this game. If you have to compare this game to anything (a difficult task) but if you have to I would say a cross between Ark, Survival, Space Exploration, Base Building, Farming, Story driven, single player, multiplayer, looter and last of all masterpiece of a game. This is a youtube review that might explain all of what I said a bit easier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drOhPO770qI.

For me personally I give this game 11 out of 10 in its current state, I hope that other developers can learn something from Hello Studios and the way the handled this game. I will easily pay 40+ $ for this game even after 4 years, it is worth every sent and more!

Early Access Review
Better than Borderlands 3, for a early access this is just one amazing piece of game. If Borderlands 3 and Risk of Rain would have a baby, this is it! Hours of good fun gameplay and in 25 hours I have encountered 0 bugs. That is amazing for a Early Acccess title, this game has the potential to be really BIG! Worth each and every cent of your money, I cannot get over the fact that I am addicted to this. I have so many games in my library and thousands of hours in different genres, this is a breath of fresh air! JUST BUY IT

Considered coming back to the game, saw another season pass... well they can stuff their game where no one can find it again. Greedy galore, this is a money making machine. Rather play tetris better value for money

This game is truly amazing, an example of a fine masterpiece that very few AAA companies can accomplish. This game should be played by everyone, and it is a game for anyone. I cannot believe they charge only a few bucks for it, some games cost quadruple this amount and dont even have half of the content and game time that this has to offer. Every time I get into my seamoth to explore, i find more and more amazing sealife, scenery and blueprints to add to my base. This is what a survival game should be, I take my hat of for these developers! Amazing game, dont even think about it, just buy it. Look at the amount of reviews, I cannot believe that someone would not reccommend this game.

Put all the server lag, bugs, cheaters, CHINA etc. aside, we can sometimes live with that, at least when the devs are transparent and trying. What I have seen lately is just another money milking scheme. For me, I have enjoyed this game alot, played it alot, played against cheaters alot etc. But as of lately, I can completely understand why people are saying PUBG is dying, and it is your own fault PUBG Corp. There is a ZERO reward system for its players, zero progression, all they care for is money. The rewards you do get, is locked behind "pay to open" crates, even then you get SH((*T. They are so focussed on creating skins etc. that they fail to deliver on what the community really wants. The community wants devs that cares for their player base, reward people for putting time and money into the game and besides getting a chicken dinner, play for something like a rank, better rewards etc. Some people might play 50 games without winning, why would they keep on playing if there is nothing to play for accept a chicken dinner (even then you get rewarded only a few BP points????) That might have worked in the beginning but now the competitors are kicking dust into pubg's face, it is really like the tortoise vs hare race. WAKE UP DEVS, oh no sorry it is too late. No amount of new maps, new weapon skins or bug fixes will save this game!

Wow, this is truely a gem! I enjoyed This War of Mine so much, and when I heard that they were working on a new game I got excited, but did not think that they could improve on the emotional and captivating atmosphere that was present in This War of Mine. I was so wrong... this game is SO UNIQUE, very addictive and really well made! I get a little sick of the same old games coming from AAA studios and the battle royal overdose that we currently have that this game is exactly what was needed. I wish everybody on steam would buy this game, 1/3 of the price of normal games and yet better in so many ways! You will not regret this buy, even if you are not a "city builder" or "survival" type of person, you will get value for your money!
