Enjoying the game so far. Looks good graphically, and it has been fun so far, but a couple things to note: 1) It would be nice if there was a difficulty between medium and hard. 2) The long range fighting is just stupid. On any difficulty. Period. Even on easy, enemies can detect you from sniper distance and hit you with 100% accuracy with small arms...It's awful. That's my biggest gripe though.

While I'm not sure how 1967-2011 is 48 years (among other details), game is still very much worth the play through.

Spoiler alert: This zombie killing game may contain violence.

Since the NPCs don't respond to each character's lines, they feel kinda flat and detached. This is probably what people are referring to when they say the quests aren't great. If you can get past that, it is about what you'd expect, and for what it's worth, I enjoyed it more than Dead Island 1.

Edit: Forgot to mention the DLCs were better than expected. They tied in well to the story, but still felt very separate from the base game. Would recommend.

Overall fun game. All the campaign customization options are nice to make it play the way you want.
Biggest downside in my opinion is that a ton of the achievements seem bugged :( Would not expect that with how many Total War games have been released.

The restockers are nearly always broken for one reason or another - most of the time it seems to be re-settable by saving, exiting, and resuming the game. Firing and hiring is hit or miss and gets expensive.

You're going to think this game has a lot of bugs... and then you'll realize you're the problem.
The game does a great job of adding subtle mechanics for an immersive feel.

I liked the game on console a few years back. I wanted to replay it on pc, but it crashes so much I think I've spent more time restarting the game than playing through my 4 hours played so far.

The game appears to run better after the intro quest. I managed to get through the intro on a PC with a more powerful CPU before returning to my ASUS TUF 15. While the game now stutters considerably less, it still freezes more frequently than any other game I have ever played.

Despite the significant amount of freezing, I have found the game to be highly enjoyable thus far. Although there are numerous complaints about the game's content, such as quests, writing, and New Game Plus (NG+), I believe the game is well-crafted.

In my opinion, the game is excellent as it stands. Adding more voice acting and writing for every quest to include additional NG+ dialogue would be an inefficient use of resources—I think the current balance is appropriate. I found the NG+ concept to flow well. For those concerned about losing items, remember that NG+ is optional, not mandatory.
