Sweet Pixilated Jesus they should make a game that looks like this! This is the raddest tech demo I've ever... demo'd.

Dead Island starts out slow and clumsy, but give it an hour or so to warm up and it really perks up... Literally! As you level up, your swings become less clumsy, you're not dead in 4 hits and you get acccess to better weapons than a boat oar that breaks in 10 swings. By the end, you're modding a samurai sword with an electrical mod and eletricuting brutes as you slice off their bashing arm. By no means is it the best game I ever played but I'd give the play through a solid 7 out of 10.

I was super charged up about this game when I first saw the early trailers and reviews, but being the cheapskate I am I had to wait for the Christmas deal. I was not disappointed, which is great because I had high expectations! This game leans heavily on nostalgia and late 80's early 90's references but it does it with such love and care this game could get by on charm alone. After a full play through even with all the head banging frustration at certain difficult parts towards the end, this has been one of my most enjoyable gaming experiences in a long while. Bravo um... dudes who made this game!

OK, now I'm not saying go out and spend your dosh. But I will say this. I'm not sure what just happened, but I think it was art... and it was... interesting. I liked it. I think.... This is like one of those films where you're never exactly sure whats going on... and afterwards you feel unsettled for a bit.

This just might be the best game I ever played. Its like Grand Theft Auto 4, if GTA4 was 10 times as fun with 10 times as many things to do and you really really liked all the characters. I say this not as GTA 4 hater but as a long time GTA 4 fan. SR3 just does it better... a lot better.

Let me just start out by saying I loved this game. Now it could be argued, that its not all that different in game mechanics than many 3rd person games, I think it’s the hybridization of shooter and brawler that made this so fun. The gameplay was fantastic, the storyline engaging and the aesthetics were great! Every ingame moment could easily make for cover art for the game, its that beautiful. Space Marine has given me a whole new respect for the Warhammer 40,000 Line. Buy this game, play this game, its well worth your time and money. Now I think I'm off to revisit the RTS genre for a few days!

Exceptionally awful. It didn't work right because the configuration file doesn't save right, you have to go in and manually configure in notepad. It doesn't do true full screen, it has this ugly boarder around it. They didn't make any effort to try and smooth out or filter the graphics. Out of curiosity I went to see if the Dreamcast emulators did a better job... They do, by a lot. Its too bad the developers of this port didn't try as hard as the emulation community or heck... find the guys who wrote NullDC and hire them. They could port all the best stuff for DC and sell it again. Don't waste your money on this now its stuck in my steam inventory in my sadly ever-expanding "crap" category. Way to phone it in Sega :(

I went into this game thinking "2D Minecraft clone... Wrong attitude, the pace is much too slow for that in some ways... But when I started thinking "This is the greatest Castlevania game I've ever played!!!" Then I really started to see how great it is, all on its own , and that was before they added all this new content! Pick it up today!

Great game-play, interesting storyline, a really enjoyable game. The detective mode works so well in finding those items and clues I stayed in it 90% of the time, missing a lot of the splendid color work in the game.
