Aseprite is my top 1 tools for pixel art so far! I've been using it for like 4 years by now and although I have only 166 hours in steam I've spent a couple of thousands of hours drawing my precious arts <3 I recommend it to anyone willing to try PA!! It is a great thing and as I am concerned it has cool modern features old school PA editors lack of
