Aseprite continues to be an absolute star in all my workflows. I've used it for minor and major work across every gamedev project I've had over the last 10 years. It's really stable and I love how fast it boots up, which lets me use it as my default png editor.

I will say, I was certainly skeptical at the unanimous praise.

I can now wholeheartedly agree that this software is worth every penny.

Aseprite is not only worth your money, but it is worth your time. The amount of time it will potentially save you is immeasurable, this could very easily be implemented into your existing workload. While it may not replace every tool in your kit, it is by-and-large the most efficient software for the lowest price point.

I'm of the conviction that Aseprite is a much more potent pixel editor than photoshop or gimp, not to mention, this software has yet to crash on me. That's certainly more than I can say for any current adobe product I've reached 100 hours of usage upon.

Even for casual users, which I very much am, the introductory period went very smoothly. Nearly all of the shortcuts for brushes and tools are different from photoshop or illustrator; that was a bit of a learning curve, but the keystrokes required for workflow are ergonomic nonetheless.

I find myself wanting to use this software for more than I purchased it for. That's a really priceless thing. Worth the money, on sale or otherwise, would purchase again.

incredible tool for pixel art - definitely a good investment. easy to understand, and many included colour palates :D
