Wonderful, wonderful game. I didn't expect to get so into it - and I don't mean the gameplay loop. While that is fun and engaging, the whole package was joy to see. Cutscenes, NPCs, the wild things during the story - it was a very special journey and I'm glad to be part of it.

I can't say much due to spoilers, but the gameplay loop is decent - it can be frustating in places, but it's nice to see bringing back haul and making bank on it and repeat in between story missions and at end of story the game lets you keep playing on like Stardew Valley and such, and the length of the story was pretty decent bulk too.

Again, would recommend!

As game it's honestly fun wee "point and click" adventure game with time limit of 7days in-game, with really lovely pixel locations to look at and offers good replayably.

And yeah, the scenes are hot. Lozran is lovable DILF.

Fantastic game. My only issue is that I can't pay developers for this game so they don't get my money :( (Then again, I can donate to their Ko-fi, which I will honestly.)

But no, I honestly can't believe this is free. Sure, it's short game - but I wouldn't mind paying for it at all. The platforming feels really good, going through the world which looks really amazing and I felt the challenge, while on easy side, was decent for a short platformer.

Very glad I got chance to give this a go.

I love their previous work - The Letter - and I was happy to see that they were doing another horror VN. While it's not exactly same quality as The Letter, I still happen to think it's very good for what is essentially short visual novel. It's eerie in places, especially how much religion can affect some people and all in all it was enjoyable night of reading through it.

No branches so choices don't really matter, but I still felt like they do matter in sense how would you say in that situation, and there are moments where it does clearly say you have no choice in that matter, but rather main character chooses instead.

As much as I hope the developer will consider another horror VN that's like The Letter, I'm satisfied with this.

Will admit on my first playthrough I wasn't enjoying it as much as I thought I'd be, but I was also kind of rushing through it - not sure why, I guess getting cases and get told to do these kinda put me in that mindset. On second playthrough though, i was enjoying it lot more so as I took my time browsing through the pages after pages of surfing the web like it's back in late 1990s (even though I never got online until early 2000s). It's full of nostaglic, and there is also stories you can discover as you work through them. I never thought I'd smile at low poly GIFs scattered all over website, early scams, viruses and stuff like that... it felt like jump back in time, haha.

It's fantastic game, just take your time and enjoy browsing the internet of late 1990s, and you'll discover there's lot more to it than just solving the cases you were handled.

I really enjoyed my time with it, but I'll admit when it got to one section I felt 'eh' as I wasn't in mood for the section as up till then I was just enjoying interacting with the game. It wasn't that long though, and after couple of playthroughs I went through it pretty fast.

But yeah, the game can be very eerie and made me uncomfortable in places - which is the point of the game, as while it's not straight up horror game there will be things that made you go "wait, what?" or classic "wtf" moment. Going for other endings after the ending adds much more to the game.

So yeah, go in this blind if you can.

Not much else to say - more of same as first game, which is good thing. I do think it's easier than first game (which isn't either difficult, but did take me while to finish it) but I enjoyed the journey. Looks pretty, plays good, the puzzles are fun to work out and I'm happy I played these games.

One of these walking simulator games, but the feeling is so eerie that I couldn't stop keep going. The naff bits are bit too long for me (driving sections, bleh) and I'm being bit daft that I don't *fully* understand what's going on but I do like the creepy feeling of the game, thought it was worth a time.

Short but I think it's almost perfect length for this kind of game. Just driving sections are boring (granted, didn't help I can't hear the radio so all I'm just watching is nothingness.)

Very silly and fun game - I was smiling (okay, maybe gave few frustrated grunts when failing the combo or nearly got S rank but didn't) whenever playing through the game.

It's quite short in terms of seeing the credits and achievements wise, but to be fair you can spend lot of time trying for better scores on the songs, so the replayablity is there.

My main problem - which to be fair I am not great at the game - is how it handles lot of short notes at high speeds. Even at low speeds I struggle to toot manually (I've resorted to making it automatic after 22nd song S'ranked to just get 30 s ranks out of way oops) but other than that it's fun rhymth game.

Would recommend.

I have not played the original version on Game Boy Advance (either Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town or Harvest Moon More Friends of Mineral Town) so this would be from someone who has played through the game for first time.

Now onto review - It is great casual farming game! It may seem basic when comparing to likes of Stardew Valley and games after that, but that's what makes this game appealing to me in first place, as I wanted breather from littering my farm with objects just so I can turn object A into object B. It's not deep, and I don't think it needs to be that. My only gripe is having to harvest every single crop with a button press, you can't just hold button and mass-gather quickly. Scythe in this one doesn't help you either, as that just kills the crop in process. (It tells you in-game, so I haven't done it unless I wanted to kill crop on purpose like at end of season) So each time I wake up to field full of crops I let out urgh.

Thankfully there are harvest spirits who can help you as long as you hit enough FP with them, I just usually have them water my crops since with animal care they're kinda meh (Lack of FP building with farm animals, and they straight up sell items instead of putting it in some sort of temp storage).

Now onto NPCs and other aspects of the game - I like the cast of villagers, it was fun enough watching the events as you stumble into them and generally learn little stories they have. Sadly, though this is minor issue - the stories don't really solve themselves, aside from few characters their story never gets closure of any kind, so it was sad to see as I'd like to see the story develop over years go by but considering this *is* GBA remake, I'll give it a pass - and it doesn't stop the game being good in my eyes.

The town itself as well outside of it is very basic, exploration isn't really thing I'd say. You can forage for stuff, and once you know the usual spots its case of running there and see if it's there each day. And mines themselves - I am not really biggest fan of these. Hammer upgrades meant nothing in mines as it doesn't work, so you are either slowly breaking rocks around when using hoes to dig up to try find ladder to go down. Save scumming works though, so you can save, dig around, find ladder then load save & it'll be in same spot which saves stamina. Which makes it quite cumbersome, so when I got to bottom floor of each mine (there are two) and got what I wanted, I never went back to mining.

Fishing is alright, I guess. It doesn't have minigame so you just fish and mash A/Cross when you get bite. The problem is while there are different fishes to catch, they are merged into either Small Fish, Medium Fish or Large Fish so selling them isn't really exiciting when all fish (of size) sells exactly same amount of cash, and that's from someone who likes fishing to make money/to pass time. Fun though to try for achievement as well getting guardian fish.

Achievement hunters may want to re-consider going for 100%, unless you are prepared to spend long time on this. I started out playing naturally till year 4, and then it felt bit pain because my chickens didn't drop Small or Medium Egg, so I had to sell one to get new one to fill my inventory so I can cook and there's also item that drops from sheep which you need for one of recipes (two, in fact but last one can be from rabbit or alpcha) that has very low drop rate of 0.4% and that's after having it out gaze for 1,000 hours (in-game!). Getting pets are nightmare because you can only get them from special NPC that you need to unlock, then only available on 15th of each season... if not rainy. Then you can't buy another pet until you get 8 hearts total, which goes up each time you buy pet. So yeah if you want all achievements you are in long haul.

To sum it up - Great "basic" farming simulator with quite lot of stuff to do, mining I'm not too fond of, decent villagers and some minor annoyances that keeps it from amazing game for me but overall I can recommend this if you want to try out "old" Harvest Moon game to see what it's like.
