I knew this was gonna be good when I heard there'd be a sequel of the first one, and boy I was not let down, it was great! Excellent gunplay, very interesting environments, and a fairly engaging story, all leads to one fun game, I only wish I could have bought it. Play it, I highly doubt you'd regret it.

This game really does grow on you. After surviving the initial shock of the UI, terribly bound controls, low resolution in the top left hand corner of my screen while the intro plays, and ear splitting first level music it starts to grow on you. The more I think about this game when i'm not playing it the more it feels like I just played a swee neezy video. It's weird, and difficult if you play too recklessly, but the shooting feels quite satisfying in the midst of all the confusion you'll likely be feeling. I'm not sure if I've gotten far enough into the game where I can say 20 dollars is a fair price to pay for it, as I have yet to beat it at the time of writing this, however from the initial first impression i'd say 10 dollars would be a better price for more reluctant purchasers of this game. I gave up in the initial first 15 minutes of the game after rebinding all my controls and attempting the first level when not so much as a review for this game was out. I was tired and knew I had yet to give the game it's just due. I would say if you prepare for the initial shock of those first 15 minutes, and primed for a wild ride of violence and bewilderment, pick up this game. If not, then wait for some brainless e-celeb to play it instead so you can watch for only half the experience you'd get as supposed to playing it yourself.

Good port, brings back fond memories, that being said the game has it's problems. For starters, the pistols are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horrendously inaccurate. Now you'd think that wouldn't be a problem as the pistol is a starting weapon, however not only does the revolver also have the same problem of inaccuracy but the game limits your arsenal to only two weapons, one pistol and one primary, guaranteeing you'll be stuck with a pretty weak and low range weapon in the event you run out of ammo. Speaking of ammo, a few of the weapons you'll find yourself never getting topped off with. Specifically i'm speaking of the sub machine gun and the sniper rifle. The sniper rifle can be justified with it only appearing on choice enemies (snipers) and planted in areas were the game wants you to take some guys out, the smg on the other hand never gets enough ammo during a given level to justify using. If you make the mistake of grabbing the smg before a mission you almost always end up ditching it after blowing through the about two mags you start with, since the actual enemies that spawn with it are pretty rare at the start, and the level doesn't feel the need to leave the gun laying around most of the time. It's kind of the same story with the rocket launcher and LMG, but at least with the enemies that drop the LMG usually drop a lot of ammo with it if you're lucky. I had a problem with weapon cycling, especially late in the game when I needed to quickly pull out a medkit and heal myself. It shouldn't have been a problem considering middle mouse pulls out a weapon wheel, but I found it usually took the same amount of time for me to select the medkit with the weapon wheel as it did for me to cycle through all my guns and grenades. Later in the game got brutally difficult. I did play it on freedom fighter difficulty (second to last) and I couldn't imagine how it would be on the hardest considering some of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deaths I ended up taking. Also the story twist was lame and kind of retarded when you think about it, I don't think it even ended up going anywhere by the end of the game, but you'll know what I mean if you play it. The games pretty short, probably five and a half hours long, ending with a sort of "battles only just begun" sort of message, however it's been what now 17 years? That being said, the fact that IO did a modern port with widescreen support is a good sign we may be getting a new one in the near future. The musics good, the gameplay's fun, and the graphics looks solid as all hell for a 2003 game, so yeah i'd recommend it despite it's issues.

My all time favorite dungeon crawler, anytime I play another hack and slash I just have myself saying "This is alright, but I just wish it had the combat of Exanima." Once you start to get good with the combat, you'll get totally engrossed, and now with the recent edition on thaumaturgy (mind magic in it's current form) the game is really starting to flourish into a more complete experience. That being said, I know this game won't be for everyone as there's a pretty sharp learning curb with the combat, and not everyone will be able to walk the road of becoming skilled in this games combat. That and the fact is, in it's current state as of 4/4/2020, it is not a complete game, and the updates although being large, have very long wait times in between each one. I yern for the day when I can finally call this a complete experience and definitively my favorite game of all time. Still waiting on Sui Generis, keep it coming Bare Mettle!

Terrible, unsatisfying, almost to the point of feeling like an asset flip game which lends further credence to this being some kind of cash grab, however time will tell if that is really is true. If you're expecting the quirky, charming, and fun experience Postal 2 had to offer, you'll find very little of that here, from the strange Postal 3 esque plot to Jon Saint John voice acting Postal dude, which I don't know if it's the writing or just the way Jon voice acted the role but he ends up sounding oddly optimistic and very much like a boomer, instead of the cool, edgy, and laid-back demeanor that Rick Hunter had. To start out you get this great menu music and well done opening cutscene which gives you a little hope that the game won't be as bad as it looks from the trailer or screenshots, but on further inspection from the main menu, half of the options are all grey'd out leaving you unable to even change your controls or save your game, which in all fairness are probably going to be properly implemented in the coming days.

The plot is, you get your trailer stolen with all your belongings, including your favorite trenchcoat and t-shirt, all because you left your car door unlocked while you were off using some gas station bathroom while in a purple bathrobe for whatever reason (probably to make a big lebowski joke as seen in the promotional art and opening cutscene). because of this you end up stuck in some Arizona gambling town in dire need for some cash, leaving you to beg for work. What makes this so strange is that instead of having you, maybe ask around town if anyone has seen your car, or trailer, or hell even a guy wearing your clothing, you're right away holding up a cardboard sign begging for work in a scene oddly reminiscent of asking people to sign your petition, asking for money for the wedding OR asking people if they've seen your dog, Champ, all things you did in Postal 2 and its expansions.

The gameplay itself is like Postal 2, but more buggy, and unsatisfying. Lighting people on fire with the jerry can will usually have them just standing around until they finally fall over dead, throwing the machete at people will only some of the time unceremoniously turn them into a pile of gibs and spaghetti, and the other time be stuck floating mid air, and being unable to even chop off any limbs, shooting people in the head with the revolver will sometimes leave their brain matter and head giblets floating mid air, all be it sometimes satisfactory, however still disappointingly lacking the ability of execution shots like it did in paradise lost, hitting people with the shovel lacks and weight or real feeling, and just overall feels terrible, every gun needs to reload, stunning people with the stun baton will sometimes not actually work and just have the effects glitch out everywhere, and anytime you walk off the blurry road onto the dirt you'll take damage stepping on tiny little cacti WHILE WEARING ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BOOTS.

Everyone is saying "This is fine", "Hey it's all good guys, you're helping fund this new Postal game and get a demo with it until takes off!", "Don't be too critical on it guys, it's only early access they'll fix everything, it's a labor of love!", "Isn't it great that running with Scissors is making games again?" And to that I say, why this? How come after all this time we haven't seen a new IP? We get Postal Redux which was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. We get people floating around rumors that "Running with Scissors has been working on a new IP not postal related" totally unsubstantiated. And then out of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ no where, WE GET THIS! Early Access Postal 2² for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 20 dollars? By god I want to be wrong about this, but this looks like it's going to be on and off updates for a couple of years, probably starting with optimization and bug fixes, and ending with some new areas and story missions until they call it a day once the money pit runs dry. Its this real bad feeling I get, that all the weapon models and animations with the phone game Ul, and reused Postal 2 sound effects, and that stock unreal fan game look and feel of everything is going to stay the same as it ever was, having no major change in artstyle or gameplay overhaul at all as time goes by, and holy ♥♥♥♥, I hope I am wrong about this. I hope in like a years time, this whole review is gonna be dated garbage and I can rewrite the whole thing singing it's praises talking about how wrong I was, but until that day if it ever comes ever comes, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!

How any Redux of a game should be, updates everything adding a few things here and there giving much needed polish to an older game. Would absolutely recommend this classic

Really great mod, loved the story you got to go through and experiancing half-life through a differnt lense, part of me wished there could have been a bit more in terms of squad based combat at the start, and by god I hated going through that turret gun part on hard, but overall it was a really enjoyable experiance defintly worth your time

This new update of Zombie Panic Source breaths new life into the game by making it way more team focused adding new elements while still retaining the core of the game. Many people have had the complaints early on when the update dropped that the survivors have been nerfed to all hell and can never win. However I do think this to be false. It is more of a case of people needing to ajust to the new gameplay mechanics and become more team savvy, as well as understanding that the melee weapons are best used for finishing off zombies rather then for straight up attacks.

Though the update is good, that does not mean it is without it's flaws. The animations for the survivors walking do not match up with the speed and need to be fixed. The old "super shotty" no longer has it's closed grip when not picked up. Sometimes zombies will randomly be T posed. The character bios don't show up but here's the thing. There's many others I could list off, however by the time I am posting this review which will probably be dated, the devs will be fixing and ironing out all the bugs and crash related issues as they currently are.

To end it off, I would definetly recommend you playing this game to keep the already strong community to prosper for years to come!

It's just pure steam shovelware, that the most people would do with it is probably farm for cards to try and turn a profit, in the end is not even worth it. Bad music, bad gameplay, don't even bother with this one.

I don't usually partake in the whole "free weekend" thing for games, but this time I was curious on how this game plays, so I did. Let me tell you, I did not regret playing this game. Even as it's early access I see great potiental in this game and in it's current state I find it incredibly fun with the current content in it. It is for that reason I have decided to purchace the game and is eagar to see what new content shall be coming next.
