I mean, it came with the sub-par RE3 remake but after 6 months it was clear this was abandoned for another multiplayer venture which is... also not good. Well, good luck finding players. It's buggy, it's inconsistent and it's essentially a dead by daylight riff because Capcom is allergic to committing to /too/ many good ideas in as many 5 year spans.

I might not be the audience for this one - the deep sea doesn't frighten me, I would never be some corporate shill mining for methane at the bottom of the ocean floor, spider crabs are cute, and the tranquility of the loneliess of these giant half-ton diving suits sounds divine to me.

That being said, this is an effective short-form thriller with great horror elements. The atmosphere is great, the voice acting wonderful, and while there were a few segments of frustration for the sake of it being a game (spidercrabs rearing their cute big doofy heads primarily on this one) I genuinely couldn't put it down until I was done.

Overall, a remarkably tight 3-hour spookytime experience which left me glad I got it when it was around $5. The playtime of less than 4 hours may be a dealbreaker with any other price for some, but if the deep sea scares you then it will be well worth it.

Probably one of my favorite games of all time. Unendingly funny, ridiculously leftist, and at times very introspective. The quality of voice acting in the final cut pushes this to heights often unachieved. A truly great isometric RPG, where you can essentially achieve CHIM in a nightclub/drug den/research station you help set up in a church for a bunch of PLUR lifestyle kids in a post-Soviet eastern european state.

A pure, uncomplicated tower defense from what is rapidly becoming 'back in the day.' If you just want to make mazes and plan optimal destruction paths with towers and then let the towers do the work? This one is for you.

A nasty, horrible thing they do: hiding the first F.E.A.R. behind a package paywall. The first one is a classic, the second one is... okay. Its DLC is a little bit better. The third F.E.A.R. game is trash. Get the first game elsewhere if you can - it holds up to this day, and if you could somehow only play the 2nd game's school level I'd recommend that.

A bit pricey if you're wanting anything that resembles story, but the content that exists is here for you if you want a cyberpunky, sleek, science fiction slow-mo movement shooter.

It's a fun gameplay loop, something like if Max Payne and Warframe had a baby child and that child had her arm cut off and replaced with a terrain destroying tool. The music is gorgeous and its a visual treat. Very easy to lose time to this game just because its so fun without sacrificing any possible accessibility - you can have fun playing at lower difficulties and then ramp up when you're ready which is really nice.

Feels like an Early Access game, something like a less feature-rich Left 4 Dead. It's got a good core, but the weapons are - as of writing this - far too few and none of them feel adequately punchy. The music is also a sore point; it rules with the style its going for but the moment-to-moment feels so quiet, likewise with the protagonists. They're neat and all, but I don't get a vibe for who they are outside some brief introductory mission cutscenes - I'd love to see more banter based around moments/areas on the ship. Snippets of their personality are there but they're too infrequent. The maps need some more areas that feel unique to an episode, give some personality to the fighting and as I mentioned the weapons need... something. They just lack punch - except the Blaster. That feels like it's got some oomph.

The good is about as good as Left 4 Dead or a similar title that doesn't suck, though. Having costumes and weapon skins seems almost like something you have to do, but the idea of customization in a game like this actually is fun because you and other players do see each other frequently. The developers also seem to care a lot and the 'special' aliens are a decent threat.

EDIT: Updated review below, as of the January 2023 free weekend.

The Anacrusis still feels rough around the edges in many respects, but it is definitely improving. The weapons are still few but they've been made to appear and sound punchier, with special variants found inside each map that are far more awesome than their base variants. My issues with the sound mixing in general are still present (something I know from experience is majorly difficult, so not a sore spot unless you're compared to the titan of the genre that is Left 4 Dead and Left for Dead 2) but the most recently added map that is in beta has some fun bits and bobs that really elevate it, most significantly an all-too-short segment on narrow piping in the Workshop section.

Overall, the map design has continued to be stellar, it's a gorgeous game and I hope to see it succeed more in the future because these people very clearly care.

I truly love this game. Well worth it for a wide variety of reasons and an amazing introduction to the Cyberpunk 2013/2020/RED universe.

I fully anticipate to watch a few videos in a year from now detailing how this game disappeared and lost its player base.

Good: amazing visual identity, good character customization, fun readable lore tidbits, Prague is beautiful and visually realized. The developers sound like they really want to do this. Small maps, quick combat, good time-to-kill.

Bad: insulting to the VtM license. Identity as a VtM game ends the moment you're in a match. Monetization AND a battle pass despite being an early access title. Not enough base customization. Guns sound like toys. No guarantee of longevity due to early access. Emotes and many animations are awfully animated.

This game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fever dream. Who in their cocaine addled dreams thought the best use of money was making the narrative focused VtM license into a battle royale? The game makes no damn sense within the confines of its own lore. The sad part is that the gunplay and movement could've gone to something that felt more unique, like something involving the Second Inquisition instead of having a bunch of kindred Final Death-ing each other and commit five acts of diablerie a night on the streets as if the largest masquerade breach in the world is something to giggle at.

On top of that, this is 2021. Not 2019. Bloodhunt plays like Hyper Scape and Call of Duty: Warzone's baby. It's not unique enough to truly survive on longevity alone without additional gameplay modes. It saddens me because Prague is gorgeous, the art style and work that went into a lot of it is gorgeous but I don't feel the need to pay to unlock the same coat 10x with a season pass and the weapons all more or less feel like the same - like toys.
