I was really lucky enough to wake up one morning and see this game for sale on amazon for $20. I would've never been able to play the original version on PC since I cannot see myself paying $200+ for this.

But to talk about the game. This is my least favorite Dark Souls game in the trilogy and I understand that is an unpopular opinion but to each is there own. Even though this is my least favorite, I had a blast going through this game again. I had to use some mods to even get the game to run properly with this version of the game but once I did, the texture replacements and UI mods made this game look even better than the Remaster. I had a lot of fun reliving boss fights (i hate the four kings with a passion) and exploring the land of Lordran again. Getting the Black Knight Halberd first play-through made the game trivial but since I have played this many times through-out the years it was just fun to coast through.

If you can find a way to get this game for dirt cheap like I did, might as well go for it! A nice collectors item. Otherwise the Remaster is good enough and a bit more stable. All and all, I recommend this game to anyone interested in the souls series and the lore will suck you in if you pay close enough attention.
