+Classic RTS gameplay with enough additions and variations to keep the game and genre feeling fresh and dynamic.

+A masterclass on what an RTS campaign should b like! The campaign was a pleasure to play through and can be enjoyed very casually.

+Fun, reasonable Steam achievements! Great game to perfect!

-Some of the building models could have been a bit more distinct and different because some buildings look similar to each other and kind of blend together with the environment.

~Little bit expensive at full price imo. I purchased this game for $30, and that's just the base game.

~The soundtrack, while not bad, was not super memorable or interesting to me. The audio and sound bits of units could be more dynamic as well.

~For eSports, AoM is kind of in a weird spot bc even tho it's a different game, it falls into competition with its own title line (AoE 2-4)

~I didn't really feel compelled to play multiplayer or ranked matches. The multiplayer gameplay is kind of just whatever.

Tried this game for like a minute, and it's a no.

-Game doesn't explain itself quickly...Is this a PvE? Is this a PvP? What's going on exactly?

-This game will have its little moment under the sun and then fade into obscurity. The game is decent enough, but it's not "the next big game" by any stretch.

-Maybe I'm not used to this style of game, but the combat and gameplay feel uninspired and boring.

~Devs will probably add QoL stuff over time.

+The art direction is nice though. Game, visually, looks really good.

+$Free.99 so maybe I shouldn't be too critical

Tried this game a couple times, and it's not for me.

-The game pacing feels really slow with its turn based system and what not. Usually midway through a match, I just start feeling really tired and bored and exit out.

-Graphics/visuals/art direction...All feel a bit dated and lackluster to me. Nothing really looks amazing. Nothing pops. Nothing WOWs me. There's a bunch of times when I just don't even really understand what I'm looking at...Sometimes I can't even see my own things because the labels get in the way

-Even though the game is "Civilization", it doesn't really feel like I'm building a civilization...I would say even less so than say a game like Age of Empires or Starcraft, where u can sim city build your base aesthetically and imagine urself as the ruler...

-Pricing...I really don't think this game is worth more than $5.

+Some cool history stuff. And I could see how some people might enjoy the slower pace.

Checked it out real quick cause I got it for free bundled with CS 1.6 when I bought 1.6 on sale for $1.

Game looks and feels nice honestly, and yeah it's basically CS 1.6 with slightly nicer graphics, more bots, and a single player campaign.

If u can get this game for free or near free, it's fine. Wouldn't pay more than like a $1 for a it tho. Game seems like it would b fun over a boring weekend or something.

I get the concept the game was trying to go for, but the execution was a bit off for me.

Certainly potential in this style of game tho.
