Gonna start this by saying this
yep, it's a dungeon crawler.

That being said, the skill specialization system along with the passives makes for a fun and semi varied build. Sure there's already meta builds, but you can play how you like.

The classes feel good. Gonna give this one a thumbs up. Nothing new, but a lot of the good things we like from others.

I love this game, when I can play it. Server pop cap and login issues keep people from playing it, and if you can get in, there's a strong chance you won't get rewards for your democratic operations.

Updated:

After multiple fixes and decent communications from Dev's/PR teams that didn't feel hollow, I'm swapping this to Recommended. There are still some bugs to work out, but the core premise of killing bugs/bots is easily accessible and ready for LIBER-TEA

If you like the "start up the survival" part of Open World Survival games, Then this is your cup of tea. Once you start getting the "station" goods you can drop down with it lightens some of the burden, but not to a game breaking point. The Devs took the "Player versus Environment" thing personally. Sandstorm do not play around, and Frostbite while being hunted by a polar bear is equally intense.

solid 8/10, add in people you can play with, solid 9, if you like the gameplay loop of rebuilding everything on new drops.

Addendum: With the additions of Open World prospects, and homemade dedicated servers, it's breath of fresh air. Allowing the players too offload the processing load, as well as the QOL changes added, it's a really good game. Sure there are some quirks, but weekly updates/fixes means the devs still care.

The game tickles that itch I have for the franchise, the game style, and the "I just wanna shoot some SH!t" points I was looking for. While it is better with friends, with voice comms, Quick Play works for just finding a random group and shooting xenos. The FOV could be a bit better on Ultrawides, but overall, solid 8/10.

Let me start off with saying that the idea that New World brings to the table, I wholeheartedly love.

That being said, with the:
- lack of any inkling of what QA testing is, or atleast the appearance of lacking in that area,
- the proliferation of available exploits,
- the laissez-faire attitude, in regards to robo-banning, have just killed any want to play this game at this time.

I'm going to have to give a "Not Recommended" at this time, but I'll keep watching it, and hopefully AGS pulls themselves out of this whole they have so readily put themselves in.

If you've got the rig to run it at Ultra, you are in for a treat. While there are a lot of side objectives and random events, it keeps it fresh. I recommend this game, and plan on forwarding any bug reports to the bug team, instead of crying about it online. I ask that you do the same.

Game is very pretty, combat system is unique, but somewhat intuitive, and the story is fantastic so far

This game made me fall in love with it. I wanted to find a reason to not like it, but with my first play through with Pistols and bombs I just couldn't find a reason to not like it. Sure the repetitive settlements got "whitenoised" pretty quickly, but that's about the only thing I'd say could've been better.

8/10 story
9/10 companion system
10/10 visuals.... I need a better GPU, but damn it was pretty

1. Launch No Man's Sky
2. Check out new sh!t
3. Buy new sh!t
4. Investigate new station.
5. Realize I need more stuff so head to ship.
6. Get in ship
7. Launch.

Get flung into space and die while the game crashes. I didn't save.

My fault for not knowing I should jump in then out of my ship.

New stuff looks amazing though. Really digging the research trees.
