Really liked it initially, but then I realized how insanely RNG based the game is. Sometimes you get 3 level 3 runes from the first world; other times you get your first above level one half way into the game; the enemies are ever worse, because you often get attacked by enemies of screen that easily can take of more than a health bar in one go. The bosses mostly take up the whole screen and can turn on a dime, so you're often forced to take hits unless you get lucky and find lots of speed runes.

I haven't actually cleared it, but normally in these types of games you feel how you get better and better, and can on average progress a little farther each time, but here I reached the final boss on my second run and have never progressed further; every run is just hoping for good drops.

I've spent some time AFK, but I've played the game for at least 15 hours. Still the game was cheap, so in some way it was good value.

Platformers aren't quite my thing, but this one was absolutely amazing.

Can't recommend it in its current state.

I'm not really into writing reviews, but this is a game that seriously deserves one. As of this moment I find it to be one of the greatest game of all time, but such emotions can be fleeting and I've been in this position before. The combat and enemy variety are all solid , but what really sets it apart is the story.

I'm sure everyone have heard things about games like they get good 10-999 hours in, but this is truly one game where the greatness takes time to set it, and even with that it isn't bad or anything before that it's just a solid action RPG title early on, but if you take the time it really gives you an experience above anything else.

Everything got meaning to it and nothing is as it first seems, and I'm sure anyone that's open minded will find it highly enjoyable, and if they don't they're just an idiot. Most professional reviewers only played a 1/3 of it, so don't value their opinions too highly.

Got it at launch an I liked it back then, but now the game has taken a direction that I really don't enjoy, so I can't recommend it to anyone at this point.

It doesn't try to do much, but what it tries it does well. The charm factor is very high and at the remarkably low price tag I most certainly recommend it.

At first I thought that the game offered pretty much exactly what it advertised, but once I started my second playthrough I realized that the game plays out more or less the exact same way each time, and the story absolutely can't stand on its own.

Long Live The Queen tries for about the same thing, but the difference is that that game manages to pull it of.

The best roguelike on Steam

Bold statement, but it truly is. The game forces you to constantly advance and that really gives the game a very good pacing; the interface isn't clunky which often is the case with more traditional roguelikes, but the game doesn't dumb down anything either.

The game got an amazing attention to details, and lots of effort has clearly been put into things that most will never notice, but that really makes the game worth replaying over and over against, because you always find new things every time. Clearing the game first looks very simplistic, but once you defeat the demon lord you'll realize that there's far more to the game than you thought.

The graphics aren't impressive, but they work well for the game, and the artwork can be quite charming at times.

Early Access Review
At this point in time it's a large step down from Weird Worlds; the new smaller combat zone just doesn't work and the galaxy map is needlessly hard to navigate. The problems aren't deal breaking, because the game may get more content in the future that weighs up the cons, but at the moment I can't recommend that game.

You could call it a more casual and relaxed version of FTL; at most a game lasts about half an hours, and you'll find interesting components almost instantly. Winning or getting a good high score just doesn't matter all that much; the game is all about the journey, and it's perfect if you got a half hour to spare.

The game got a few hours worth of content, and since the developers made modding easy you can more than twice the value by trying out some of the mods, and many of them are both large and balanced. The game won't blow your mind but you'll have a good time.
