This is still the best Total War game I have played. The tactical play, the usage of mixed armies, and the presence of generals as force multipliers and cavalry all combine to make a beautiful game. I do however recommend the Unoffical patch and a campaign overhaul mod of your choice, both on the workshop, to truly iron out the bugs CA left in this masterpiece. Roughly a third of my hours at time of writing are base game however, and I have enjoyed every single one. Thank you to my friend who brought it for me.

Very fun, active and wholesome community. Recently the Dev cancelled a very anticipated feature. The reasoning for this is in the Devlogs on steam and youtube. For what it's worth I agree with the Dev's, and disagree with the rash of negative of reviews.

Big bois

Absolutely amazing game, one of the best I've played recently. Beautiful adaptation of 5e while keeping it fun in the new format.

Unfortunately, my friends joining my party to have some fun together messed over my run, without the ability to remove them I am unable to adventure with NPCs, which removed most of the fun from playing the game single player. Due to never thinking this would be an issue and not saving, I now have lost hours of progress, and soured my perception of the game as a whole.

Ultimately still fun enough for me to come back and redo the areas, but a glaring issue in an otherwise polished game.

Putting my two cents in; the current game-mode feels fun and engaging. For me, the PvP isn't so weird or out of place because you see the enemy team during the whole game. The entire PvE section is a race *against other players*, so I find the final objective being a confrontation to be fun and satisfying. There could probably be more ways to interact with the other team during the PvE segment, and the inability to join back to a match in progress is very annoying. Overall, incredibly fun game, can't wait for full release!

Singleplayer isn't great, but you can do the campaign in Coop. Very fun, and good to play with friends or with people you meet online. Servers are still quite active, and I have never not seen at least one up.
