Extremely outdated game mechanics. Supposed to be a space exploration game without the whole... exploring space part? Essentially your ship has two flighing options. 1. Orbit the planet. 2. Land on the planet.
Any interaction you have with the world has a cutscene (Launching the ship, getting in the ship, landing the ship, going into and buildings, etc.)
Oh but wait there is more. Your ship is actually pointless. You dont even need one. You can teleport strait to your next mission objective from the missions ui.
But wait if you cant explore space surely the planets are great to explore... lol no. There is 1 outpost sometimes 2 when you land. If you leave the vicinity of the outpost there is nothing to find but procedural generated terrain. (capped at a certain distance btw)
Is the game at least difficult? (When ever you manage to find someone to fight) You can slap a 10$ AI asset in a game thats 10x better then the jank here. You can basically fight and kill groups / waves of enemies on the hardest dif with a shiv.

There was 0 thought but into any realistic outlook on physics. When you can flight your ship for extremely easy auto lock combat your ship basically has the physics of a Helicopter. Some how you get C02 toxicity from running to much with no helmet any planet with breathable atmosphere. Some how you run out of o2 but running? Keep in mind this is supposed to take place 300 years in the future with c02 scrubbers but somehow. Those last two points are awfully nit picky but for gods sake just call it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stamina. In the sol solar system the gravity you experience on any of the planets are extremely unrealistic but for some reason you have earth gravity on asteroids.
Disregarding the complete lack of thought put into physics, the copy paste combat system, the utter lack of exploration, and the fact that this is basically a magic game where you can teleport anywhere you want for free and bypass major game mechanics that way that basically just leaves the story. I know the high profile critics are giving the game high 80's scores so the story must be good right?
NO, The story is the most bland un-palatable waste of time I have experienced in a game and i have played some WASTE of time games (just look at my profile). The beginning of the game basically sets the stage for the rest of the story and what to expect going forward. And since almost every clip you find on youtube has the introduction on it using it here wont be a spoiler. Your given a basic outpost that you will soon forfeit to "travel among the stars" they give you the classic go fetch this really important and extremely valuable thing we have been searching for for years newbie. and after that you find yourself being given a $100k ship and all of someones possessions on a whim that you a special little guy.

I feel dumb having bought the premium addition expecting them to have learned from 76. I was sorely mistaken and "Will remember that"

Server browser is inconsistent, finding a server to play with your friends is impossible. You cannot join on friends through steam nor can you join the via IP.
There is no ac, EAC is free and this is 2023 there are no excuses for not having some form of ac in a competitive multiplayer game in this day and age.

Will flip review if these issues are resolved as the game does show promise as a squad alternative.

Game has a lot of enjoyable content and ALOT of balancing issues. Overall the game is a challenge and even with the game breaking bugs I can still squeeze enjoyment out of it. Maybe not 35$ worth but as with what seems like all game launches now days that are bug ridden, the developers will have the game breaking issues patched out in around two weeks. Personally Ill be waiting until then to come back and try for another playthough because there are currently bugs that literally stop progression. I would recommend anyone seriously looking at buying this game to wait until then as well before doing so and see if the community discussions are still so one sided.
The only reason im really giving a positive recommendation is because the developers are active in patching issues and I have no doubt the majority of it will be resolved in a few weeks

First of all the campaign is amazing. Haven't had any issues with it and the mocap animations are top notch.
On the other hand we have multiplayer you know the mode specifically designed to play with friends? Well after navigating 30 menus to add your friends you and your friends will take turns crashing in the lobby trying to get into the game. There are not leader boards, equipping emblems and calling cards is spotty. Half the weapons challenges are bugged and the list goes on.
InfinityWard has made it clear none of these issues are priority as they put out a hotfix for Playstation coms over actual play-ability of the game.
Will change to a positive review if these core mechanics are resolved quickly. Tired of AAA titles half a**ing their releases.

Your game needs checksums and anticheat. You can use cheat engine to give your self literally everything in the game. 1billion gold no problem. Animations are non existent for the majority of activities and the ones that are implemented are buggy as hell npcs work for a minute before the spend an hour getting food. UI is atrocious and cluttered. Quests are unintuitive they dont tell players how or where to do things. There is no point to the story. NPC dialog happens way to often and is repetitive. The game is a mash of low poly assets with quests and premade mechanics sprinkled in.

Awesome game. Would like to see base raiding though.
