Resident Evil Revelations 2 stands as my favorite Resident Evil title to date. The story is engaging and easy to follow, and for once, you can genuinely feel for the main characters and the world of Resident Evil as a whole.

I started playing the first chapter solo, but after buying the remaining episodes, I played Episode 2 and 3 of both Claire’s and Barry’s campaigns with a friend. I didn’t even realize the game had multiplayer support until we looked it up — and honestly, that’s a real issue with this game. On top of that, I didn’t know there were two endings, which caused me to replay Chapter 1 of Episode 3 and the final mission twice.

My Breakdown
Story – 22/30

Revelations 2 focuses on two main characters who, prior to this game, hadn’t received much spotlight. Claire may have had Code: Veronica, but this truly feels like her game.
The story revolves around fear and loss. Claire’s campaign is fun but deeply unsettling when you really think about it, while Barry’s campaign focuses on grief and coming to terms with that loss. Both narratives complement each other extremely well.

Gameplay – 23/30

The gameplay feels like a refined version of the RE4/5/6 formula. From combining items in your inventory to stunning enemies with a flashlight, everything feels intentional.
I loved that one character has a gun while the other doesn’t — this design choice forces teamwork and encourages strategic thinking. The gun upgrade mechanics allow meaningful customization, and the skill tree is fantastic. The overall layout of the systems is clean and satisfying.

Audio – 5/10

The audio design is extremely well crafted. Gunshots feel loud and close, healing sounds are impactful, and actions like knifing or lunging feel weighty.
That said, I do wish the audio were better synced at times, as it can slightly break immersion.

Visuals – 7/10

The game is visually striking, often feeling like you’re trapped inside a Saw scenario. Blood, rust, and decay dominate the environments, making it easy to get lost in the world.
Even when you leave enclosed areas, the forest environments breathe with light and air. A remake or remaster would only enhance what already feels like a near-perfect setting. However, the heavy screen grain — especially in pre-rendered cutscenes — looks noticeably different from the in-game effects and made screenshots hard to take.

Voice Acting – 10/10

The voice acting genuinely made me cry multiple times. Barry and Moira’s relationship is incredibly well performed. You can hear the pain when Barry believes Moira has died — and the pure joy when he learns she’s alive.
Barry alone elevates this game to a 10/10.

Music – 4/10

The weakest part of the game. While there are a few standout tracks, most of the music didn’t leave a lasting impression outside of emotional scenes.

Final Thoughts

Despite a few issues, Resident Evil Revelations 2 delivers one of the most emotionally resonant experiences in the franchise. Strong characters, excellent gameplay, and a powerful story make it unforgettable.

Overall Score: 71/100

the story was really great i played it on vactation and i love the references to all of the old games from the 3d era aswell as the midway era too, i was a bit ashamed to say i loved this version of the characters more then the other games, it was cool that the kombat kids showed up in the end since the were not included in this timeline, i was wondering why fire god liu kang didnt create some of the other notitable characters that were his friends, like sonya, kano or even my boy jax. all of them werent in this timeline but raiden, johnny and kenshi were. the combat was my fav in the entire series by far. i even loved the cameo fighters, it is a shame that NRS is killing this game after so many years, they could have told multiple stories in this one title for years to come, now we have to wait for the next mortal kombat where they will change multiple systems, characters will be different and recycled. all in all the game was great.

this small expansion to m1k was very pleasing the added characters (sektor, cyrax, noob, rain and tanya) were all very pleasing to learn and play, if i had to pick one out of the five it would be rain, i liked his medium paced gameplay along with his chain-able moves,

the gameplay for this expanison was around the same as m1k's original story, the added characters do help spicing alot of the fights up
24/30

the story of m1k's khaos reighns expansion was very short, i beat the game in just around 3 hours. i liked alot of the call backs to my persoanl favorite mk game (that being mk armagedon) with orin and caro. this is really cleaver way to bring back noob-saibot, and hopefully we can see more of him in the future
25/30

the audio design does need some work. the audio clipped out alot for me though i blame it on the game being poorly optimised
3/10

the visuals of this game were perfect, almost a 10/10 if it wasnt for the game stuttering and ruining some of the beautiful shots
8/10

the voice acting was pefect, i dont like the new bi han voice actor but i do like the added touch that when the old raiden came back it was his original voice actor
9/10

the music was perfect, i could here subtle notes of the mk armagedon sound track and as i stated before that is the best mk game in my opinion
10/10

overall this is a great mk game, it needed to be longer but it had enough time to establish havik as a threat, along with enough time to dispatch him

🧪 Portal 2 – Steam Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (8/10)
✅ Highly Recommended

---

Played On: PC
Playstyle: Story-focused

Portal 2 is an incredible sequel to the already iconic Portal 1, and it builds upon everything that made the original so beloved—then dials it up in complexity, emotion, and lore.

This time around, the game hits you with surprisingly emotional storytelling, especially when it comes to GLaDOS. Midway through the story, you actually start to feel sympathy for her, which is wild considering her role in the first game. And as for Wheatley? He’s charming and funny at first, but by the end, you’ll likely find yourself hating him with a passion—and that’s a testament to the game's excellent writing.

Gameplay-wise, Portal 2 adds new mechanics that change everything—most notably the gels:
🟧 Propulsion Gel for speed
🟦 Repulsion Gel for bouncing
⚪ Conversion Gel to place portals on surfaces

Combining these with the classic portal mechanics brings a whole new level of depth to the puzzles. It’s not just a test of aim and logic—it's real-time thinking and creativity.

The game also dives deep into the origins of Aperture Science, gradually peeling back the layers to reveal the corporate decline, moral decay, and desperation of its founder, Cave Johnson (who absolutely steals every scene he’s in). There’s even a nod to Black Mesa, which helps tie Portal more closely to the Half-Life universe.

Final Thoughts:
Portal 2 is more than just a puzzle game—it's a darkly funny, emotionally charged sci-fi experience with outstanding voice acting and smart level design. It expands its universe in meaningful ways and leaves a lasting impression long after the credits roll.

---

Verdict:
🎮 8/10
🧩 Genius puzzle mechanics
💔 Surprisingly emotional writing
🎤 Voice performances are top-tier (Cave Johnson forever)

🧪 Half-Life – Steam Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (6/10)

Played On: PC
Playstyle: First-time full playthrough
Completion: Finished in one sitting (~7 hours)

Review:

Half-Life is a classic for a reason—there’s no denying its place in video game history. But while it broke ground in the late '90s, playing it today feels like diving into something that aged like fine wine... mixed with fine milk. There’s brilliance under the surface, but you might need to squint (with that janky flashlight) to see it.

As a kid, I always played Half-Life 2 and never really gave the original a full shot until now. I’m glad I did—there's a lot to appreciate. Once I adjusted to the slippery movement and the sometimes awkward combat mechanics, I started to enjoy the large arsenal of weapons, each with a satisfying punch and unique role.

That said, the game shows its age.
🔦 The flashlight is a serious issue—it doesn’t illuminate what's at your feet, which makes navigating dark hallways more frustrating than it should be.
🎮 The controls are floaty and take some time to get comfortable with.
🛠️ I even got soft-locked at one point when I didn’t realize I had to power on a generator to progress. It took a while to figure out, and that kind of thing can really kill the momentum if you're not using a guide.

Final Thoughts:
Despite its flaws, I can see why Half-Life is held in such high regard. The atmosphere, pacing, and puzzle-platforming mechanics laid the groundwork for what would become some of the best shooters of all time. If you’re curious about the origins of modern FPS games—or just a fan of Half-Life 2 like I was—it’s worth experiencing at least once.

Verdict:
🔬 6/10
📦 A foundational FPS that shows its age
🎯 Great gun variety, weird controls
🧠 A thinking man's shooter... with some technical hiccups

Review:

After playing through the entirety of Resident Evil Zero, I was surprised at how much I genuinely enjoyed it. The combat takes a bit of adjusting—especially if you're coming from the smoother mechanics of the Resident Evil 2, 3, or 4 remakes—but once you get the feel for tank controls and fixed camera angles, it becomes part of the charm.

Where this game really stands out is in its puzzles. They’re clever, layered, and at times absolutely brutal if you’re going in blind. If you’ve never played a classic Resident Evil game before, you’ll probably want to have a guide nearby—some of the logic is pretty old-school, and there were definitely moments where I hit a wall (especially during a long session). That said, the satisfaction of figuring them out is top-tier.

The partner system, unique to this game, is also a fun twist. You switch between Rebecca and Billy in real time, and the game uses that to create some really engaging puzzle and resource-management scenarios. No item boxes here—you’re dropping things on the ground and managing what you can carry, which adds tension and strategy.

My only real complaint comes toward the end. Rebecca’s chemical mixing kit lets you create multiple solutions, but I accidentally made the wrong one and got stuck. I had to consult a guide to figure out how to discard it and make the battery acid I needed. It was a minor roadblock but felt unnecessary that late in the game.

That aside, I loved the story. It adds meaningful depth to the Resident Evil lore and gives us a closer look at Umbrella’s early bio-weapon experiments. Rebecca was always a favorite of mine growing up, so seeing her in a leading role was awesome. And Billy? Honestly, he grew on me. Kind of a shame he disappears from the series after this.

Final Thoughts:
Resident Evil Zero is a hidden gem in the franchise. It’s atmospheric, puzzle-heavy, and totally worth playing if you're a fan of survival horror. If you're up for a little challenge and don’t mind the classic style, this one delivers. I can’t wait to dive into Wesker Mode next.

vampyr is a fun action game that can be compared to a souls game, the morality choices that the player must make not only gives the game a very different story but also a very different play style, i just beat vampyr and the characters and the districts actually felt alive, they were impacted by my decisions that i made the night before. the mechanics feel like they were ripped straight from any sort of vampire media and thus they fit into the lore like a glove, i will say i messed up a part of the way through by embracing one of the main cast, ill have to go through the whole game again just to get that achievement, and then i will have to go again embracing everyone in order to get all the weapons and collectables, all in all vampyr was and still is one of the best games i have ever beat.

honestly i had fun with this game, there were some sections were i had to turn on a second player just to get past the wraiths and golum at the end. so it could definitely use either a remaster or some tweaks, the story just like all lord of the rings games was good quality and the jokes and comedy were the best so far from any lego game i've played to date, after taking months to finally complete another game i can say i am happy to put this down until i will most certainly come back to one hundred percent it

honestly I had a lot of fun playing through this game, I've been sick for the past couple of days and i though I would finish this game to finish off the Arkham saga, this has a lot going for it, especially the story beats, Rocksteady made the perfect superhero game that you don't even play as a superhero, and for this game taking place in a realistic setting all of the rogues in batman's gallery shine like they are straight out of the comics. i still have to complete the knight fall protocol but that is for a different day... a different time... but the same bat channel.

the enjoyment i get from this game, owing to its meticulously honed mechanics that offered an approachable learning curve. The game's developers astutely anticipated a whimsical ambiance and seamlessly integrated this facet into their design. The abundance of collectible items within the game world significantly contributed to the thoroughly enjoyable experience shared by my friend and i.

This game artfully synthesizes elements of the supernatural, blending zombies, occult rituals, and humor, forming an experience that I wholeheartedly believe merits exploration by all.

The horde mode bears a striking resemblance to the popular Call of Duty Nazi Zombies, presenting a formidable challenge that few are likely to conquer. In sum, I would bestow upon this game a commendable rating of 8/10, acknowledging its overall merits and excellence.
