Stoicism is not about being a doormat. It is about learning not to let your emotions overcome your reason. If someone attacks you physically, you have to respond in a proportional way and stop when the attack is over. if you think you are in a position to self-defence, you have the right to defend yourself by all means necessary.

Except in defence, violence is the weapon of evil. It is the symbol of amateurs. Whatever their action, a small thing or even killing hundreds, the one who commits beatings, tortures, killings, or death sentences against them is no different from them. Whatever the action, the law decides, and the punishment for the action is prison. And human beings should only be equal before the law. Since human beings are born with different capacities.

The bigger the state, the less free you are. They control you and take away your individual freedoms. They control your money which make you spend without your consent. They control your right to self-defence which make you weak against evil. They control your thoughts which make you their slave. They brainwash you in their institutions. They usually use fear to control you. They strengthen their authority and maintain the system. However, human beings should be free by their nature. The only work of state should be to ensure the security of their citizens.

Except in defence, when the strong oppress the weak, that is weakness. When power is used for other purposes, it is a shameful act. Imagine you have had a bad experience. Will you not learn, will you approve of what they did, will you take revenge on them, will you become one of them, will you continue this cycle and throw away your morality? Or will you learn from all this, will you accept the fact that it was not your fault, that you were weak, that you were left ignorant, will you break the cycle and keep your morality? There is no civilisation without morality. Morality is necessary for a civilisation. Never let them take away your morality.
