Unfortunately, Jagex is owned by an equity fund and they just want to milk as much cash from the game as possible, even at the cost of ruining the game itself.

After 8 years of development, many of the main game mechanics are bugged or not working as intended to or not working at all, like perks from skills, kingdom policies. Singleplayer requires a lot of work until I would consider it to be a finished game. One of the main quests is broken and doesn't work, side quests from lords fail as soon as you accept them and half of the quests require you to lose reputation with another party without leaving you the ability to persuade them or choose a good option. Cavalry combat is terrible and it's extremely difficult to hit someone from horse back and shooting from 3rd person is inaccurate. AI fight like robots, you can't even catch them off guard from behind, because they'll instantly turn towards you and shoot/hit you as soon as you approach them, despite them being occupied by enemy troops in front of them. You cannot place infantry in front of archers, because they will stop shooting. During sieges your troop groups are mixed together and you cannot command decent siege battles, because you cannot place your archers in a good position to shoot the enemies on the walls, because the mixed in infantry blocks them.

Although there are a few bugs in the game, I have really enjoyed the quests and the storyline.

An awesome game to play with friends for players who love to kill zombies, loot and craft items, build new structures, and transform the environment. However, I do have a problem with their support staff who are arrogant and shall put all the blame due to game issues on the player's hardware.

Since I bought this game, I've been playing it 10+ hours per day. There's a vast number of activities ranging from building your environment (terraforming, building a home, fort or town, farming, breeding cattle, trading etc.) to fighting wild beasts and monsters and other player kingdoms to expand the influence and territory of your own kingdom. And you're completely free to kill, steal and destroy (on PvP maps) as long as you're not afraid of being hunted down.

It's a great game to play with friends or for joining an existing group.

After two years of release, the DLC is still crashing frequently, despite that it's still playable, just need to make saves and backups.

A good and realistic strategy game, though troop control can be annoying.

If you like huge battles, explosions, Napoleonic era warfare then this game is worth the attention of your wallet. The community here is very active and hosts at least a few massive events daily, some clans known as regiments can have over a hundred of people in them. As regiment matches take form of line battles, these groups require disciplined members that can fulfill orders and form formations.

It used to be one of the best games at the time of it's release. I bought it out of respect for the developers. If you'd like to play Mount & Blade, I'd recommend purchasing Warband which is a sequel to this game and still has an active player and modder community.

Poor storyline, gameplay is really boring. All you can do is shoot at waves of monsters throughout all the levels of the game.
