Overall less emotional story than Yakuza 7. But fun gameplay and definitely an improve over Y7. Ending definitely a bit rushed which is weird for a game that is 60+ hours long on average. Actually one of the rare yakuza games I might recommend English Dub over OG dub. This game has english speaking characters that are voiced by japanese actors and it's jarring...

You know the issue

Literally cannot play the game I bought because of some asinine system that Rockstar came up with. Apparently years ago I linked my steam account to some rockstar account. Cool just log into that rockstar account right? Nope It wants me to reverify my email. I can't access this email since it's an outdated old email from when I was a kid. AOL email recovery system also sucks. There has to be a way I can just unlink my rockstar account and just make a new account right? Nope you have to be able to log into rockstar to unlink your steam account. Maybe I can submit a support ticket to rockstar? Nope you got to be logged into your account to be able to submit a ticket. Rockstar needs to allow Steam to unlink from their end or make it so that I can play my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game without logging into social club.

Good game.

Great game overall. Would recommend if you like puzzle / adventure / exploration / souls-like combat. For some people the souls-like combat might be a barrier. Most of the bosses aren't too hard though and I could see people that don't have experience with souls-like combat not having too much of an issue.

One of the best Immersive Sim games I've played.

Actually the best souls game. Maybe tied with Elden Ring
