- TL:DR Campaign review-
I do not recommend the campaign for 60€.

-One of the worst open worlds ever created. It´s just there to stretch out the game.
-The story is okay, nothing really to remember.

-The game runs and looks like dog poop (1440p low settings, 50-80 fps when outside).
Also the game keeps freezing if you don´t use v-sync. (1080ti, i9 9900K, 32GB ram)
-Final boss fight is one of the worst and most boring boss fights I have ever experienced.
-In the final 2 hours of the game I fell under the map 4 times. So 0 immersion.
-Ground vehicles are uselsess, especially the warhog. The map is not meant for ground
vehicles, they flip so often that I just started running around on foot.

SO-
Runs like crap, looks like crap, boring open world, boring boss fights, story is somewhat okay.

For me, it´s a 4/10.

If they fix the performance, the bugs and fill in the open world and add more content then
maybe that 4/10 could turn into a 6/10.

-Played the story on xbox game pass for PC, so thank god I didn´t spend 60€ on this crap)

Runs like garbage, looks like every other survival game.
Needs at least 1 more year of work. (Dean Hall will leave in 6 months).

I've put in 25 hours within 3 years. First 10 hours seem magical and it feels like anything is possible. This sadly is not the case and you will find it out very soon after that.

After all these years, the game is still boring and the gameplay loop just sucks. I've not touched the official servers, but even the community ones with active admins are so bad. The map is very open and empty, moving around is very hard, because almost all open fields have bases built on them and people are just base camping everyone that passes.

Doing missions is also borderline impossible, because people have built their towers/bases next to higher tier missions and just watch the area from their towers, killing others and quickly running out for the loot.

Also good luck finding a good place to build. Unless server has been recently wiped, every good place is taken and it's so hard to find a place where you actually can place something.

Just play modded DayZ instead of this. At least it's possible to move around and maps aren't so small, wide and open.

Makes you appreciate mounts in WoW

I mean this launch is fantastic compared to
90% of other games that have released in
the last 5 years.

Playing on gtx 1080ti and i9 9900k.
Medium-Very high settings, 1440p.
Game runs around 90-100fps.

Dont know how some people are unable to run it
on a rtx 3080 at 1080p resolution.

In just 2 months it went from 125 000 players to just 3000.

The game starts strong, I played the beta when it came out,
and the game seemed really good. I was away from my PC
for 2 months, came back, bought the game and well... it's boring.

Almost 2 hours in, and im yet to have a epic moment in gameplay
or story to keep me playing. Outriders feels like a endless stream
of chores. The combat is meh, abilities are OK at the best.

So is the game bad? Yes and no. But I wanted something more.
For example, Destiny 2 didn't have an amazing story either, but the
world is cool and combat is much more fluent and fun.
Same goes for Borderlands 3 for example, the story was not the best,
but they nailed every other aspect of the game.

For me this game is like ''Division 2''. It works, but it's just not worth my time.

In conclusion, the game is like 5/10. If you have finished every single
looter-shooter and have the time and mental strenght to push trough
this game, then I wish you good luck.

Picked this up for 3,99€ from the winter sale, knowing it would suck. So did it?
Yes, it really did.

So, me and a friend of mine logged in, spawned into a city, and so
the adventure began.
The beginnig was a little bit overwhelming, the game seemed so enormous
and filled with content. Boy was I wrong.
Spent a little bit of time on the starting areas, farmed up and made us a couple of
tools, bows and clothes.
We kept dying for some unknown reason. It was getting really fustrating. Found out
that I ate too many berries. Weren´t even poisonous ones, just ate too much of them.
Stupid right? I agree.
Next thing we know, we bought a boat from a guy in the harbour. After a bit of a struggle,
we learned how to drive the boat.
So, we sailed to our very first island. It was empty. Farmed for a while, built a small base,
moved on. Maybe we just had bad luck? Maybe other islands were different.
We set sail to a another island. Oh, and don´t forget that sailing between islands takes time.
Like a lot of time. When we arrived, we found nothing yet again.
At this point, we were getting really bored. We were staring to underestand, that all there
is to this game is to build boats, cut down trees and kill animals.
So we tought that let´s do something stupid. We salied to a red area, got killed by
a Damned ship, swam to a big island. Hoping to find pirates or a city of some sort.
Yet again we were disapointed.

Uninstalled at 6 hours.
Verdict: not even worth the 3,99€
