Well, my gfx card just stopped yesterday, so I may have to get a better card anyway, which might fix the issue... But if you're right, and there are lots of people having the same issue, hopefully my ticket can somehow help out others with slightly older gfx cards!
Yes you typically won't get a reply...but don't let that stop you from sending a new ticket for each new crash that happens... but I would not bother creating a new ticket if there is no crash dmp file... they really just need crash dmp files to fix this issue... guessing on what happened with just your text message is not useful. I'm a developer as well, but do not work for No Mans Sky.
I found the temp folder when I submitted the crash log a while ago. Those files aren't really crash logs, they're just minimal memory dumps of the final state of the program when it died... an actual crash log would be very useful.. :)
Thanks again, have a nice evening. I'll raise another ticket on this patch and see if it gets anywhere :)
Cheers!
And the crash logs on PC are usually under C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp or your User Temp folder location if you have changed it. See https://steamproxy.net/app/275850/discussions/2/360672383113119702/
When submitting your support request you can actually attach the NMS_crash_123456789.dmp file that you found previously in your User Temp folder.
All the best man.
